Gallic Naval Intelligence Ship Saint Amant
The GNIS Saint Amant is a sister ship of the Battlecruiser Sisteron, another Obstinate-class Battlecruiser in use by the Gallic National Intelligence. However, the Saint Amant is more heavily armed than its sister ship, Battlecruiser Sisteron, with [REDACTED] instead of [REDACTED] - a highlight of its [CENSORED]. History The Saint Amant was commissioned and laid down in 738 A.G.S and 742 A.G.S. respectively. It replaced the GNS ████████ and its Commanding Officer, █████████, after they went missing in Orkney. Additionally, it is part one of the Saint Amant's current secondary investigative missions. Equipment The Saint Amant has been heavily modified, focusing on intelligence gathering, serving as a platform and headquarters for the Owl Squadron, and acting as a testbed for new technologies intended for future Obstinate-class Battlecruisers or █████-class ████████. It also integrates new equipment developed in Gallic skunk works. Most of the technology entering and leaving the Saint Amant is highly classified, with significant redacted information. One of the most important pieces of equipment is the █████, which is ████████ to the Nomads. However, it was [REDACTED] due to █████. Currently, the Saint Amant is equipped with conventional weaponry typical of other Navy Obstinate-class Battlecruisers, such as the █████, ███████, █████, ███████, and the ████████, as well as ████████ Turret. Owl Squadron ![]() The Saint Amant's designated squadron is the Owl Squadron, which serves as a testbed, aggressor, and intelligence unit primarily utilizing bombers. Its patch features an owl in black and white. Designated as CH-01 Escadre Chouette, more commonly known as "Owl Squadron," its motto is 'Veritas omnia vincula vincit' (English: 'Truth Overcomes All Bonds'). Currently, it operates ██ snubcrafts directly under GNI and ██████ ██ ██████ command. The Owl Squadron's ships mainly consist of Renoir-Souder UZ-290 "Eclipse" bombers, as well as civilian vessels. Civilian versions are preferred for testing on the Owl Squadron's Gallic Navy testbed snubcrafts. The only civilian-grade ships not exclusively used as testbeds are the Eclipse bombers, which, despite their high cost, are utilized by the Owl Squadron for operations such as [REST OF PARAGRAPH REDACTED]. The aggressor division (ACH-01) of the Owl Squadron employs Border Worlds ships, such as [REST OF THE PARAGRAPH REDACTED]. Their primary operational base, aside from the Battlecruiser Saint Amant, is Planet Blois, Orléanais, due to the system's diverse environment. [REST OF THE PARAGRAPH REDACTED]. Saint Amant's on-board culture The Saint Amant has an unusual internal culture - while ship cultures are not unique, the Saint Amant possesses a mascot, Erica, or "Rika", a kitten that was rescued by the ship's sailors while the ship was being maintained on Planet [REDACTED]. The ship also has the Maréchal de Villiers on board, formerly the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and formerly Maréchal of the Gallic Navy. Current missions The Saint Amant currently focuses on signals intelligence, intelligence gathering, and operates as mission control and a mobile headquarters for other GNI assets, from snubcrafts to ██████████, as well as being a relay node to the emergency communication network [REST OF PARAGRAPH CLASSIFIED]. Additionally, the Saint Amant is assisting the Battlecruiser Sisteron in containing the threat emanating from Tau-61. It primarily operates in Languedoc as a counterintelligence and counterterrorism platform. However, its heavy equipment and modified design, intended for multiple uses such as TACAMO (Take Charge and Move Out) and COG (Continuity of Government) missions, communication relay node, and intelligence gathering, as well as heavily modified engines allowing for extended operation away from dockyards, result in its combat performance being subpar compared to the Obstinate-class Battlecruisers it supports as a testbed and headquarters. Gallic Naval Intelligence Ship Rouen
The GNIS Rouen is a Triumph-class Destroyer warship, part of the capital-class fleet of the Gallic National Intelligence. Despite its tumultuous history, and a female Flag Officer, the Rouen is a beacon within the Gallic Union, as it has scored many victories, military, reconnaissance, or ██████████ and ████████. It was formerly named and launched as the GNIS Le Havre before being rechristened Rouen.
History The Rouen was laid down in 733 A.G.S., then launched and commissioned in Décembre 746 A.G.S. and Janvier 751 A.G.S., respectively. It is part of the St-██████████ Strike Group, deployed in the systems of ████████, ██████, and █████████ to originally quell rebellious troops before eventually joining the Confederation, and finally joining the forces of the Union, under the command of the CdV (CdV: Capitaine de Vaisseau) Julie de Picardie-Saleux. The Rouen, despite the removal of the anti-planetary weapon, which it deployed as part of the task force that glassed Leeds, still has a reputation for being a fearsome combatant. This reputation was only increased with the transfer of the ship to Gallic National Intelligence command - a reputation very-well-earned, especially of a crew full of veterans of these wars. Current missions
The Rouen currently operates in [REDACTED] systems. Counter-terrorism is its priority, but its equipment, recommended, purchased, and added by the same agency of the GNI that outfitted the Saint Amant, allows it to not only perform C4ISTAR missions, but also counterintelligence, albeit on a lower priority. The Rouen's priority remains combating the terrorist threat and the smugglers' threats. The Rouen fields a rather standard load-out for a Triumph-class Destroyer. It is built around 'deleting' the shields of an opponent, allowing for larger capital assets and snubcraft to more easily bring their own firepower to bear. CdV Julie de Picardie-Saleux is more than capable as both a combat officer and a 'desk officer'. |
