[Event] Operation Gisela | March 22nd, 19 UTC - Einbeck - 03-17-2024 Operation Gisela Omicron Minor Combat Event OVERVIEW Following a short meeting with a K'Hara Elder, the RNC Einbeck and its 'crew' have received the monumental task of recovering an entire wreckage from Omicron Minor. The very idea of doing such an act, however, is understood as little more than a suicide run and a pointless venture, but still there are plans drafted. These very plans make way for three phases to the recovery: scanning, retrieval of high importante objects and the reconstruction process. Operation Gisela covers the very first part -- with Scorpion drones and smaller ships alike, but also Nomads, preparing to venture into the Toledo Graveyard and gather scans of the wreckage. Dates:
Friday, 22nd, 1900 UTC. Details:
NOTES This event is part of a series that will conclude either in a successful or a failed attempt to hybridize an Osiris battleship by the Nomads. PS: No, we are not stealing wrecks, that is extremely bad roleplay. The plan, for those who don't wish to read the roleplay, is to simply get small bits of external hull plating and whatever other equipment is salvageable, then construct a Nomad warform around the rest, akin to the LNS Tundra. RE: [Event] Operation Gisela | March 22nd, 19 UTC - Czechmate - 03-22-2024 Omicron Minor literally is Liberty Zoi - are we really barred from coming? (Yes we have done plenty of RP around it, and Einbeck too for that matter) If yes this is not really an open event, is it RE: [Event] Operation Gisela | March 22nd, 19 UTC - Einbeck - 03-22-2024 That is on me being a wee bit of a fool and forgetting Unstables do give ZOI. If you want to come, you're free to and I encourage you to, be it on LN or other groups. FYI though, it'll be a long trek to get caps into Minor as LN, as what Unstables do in fact currently do is prevent JD usage. My apologies again for the mistake, I'll correct the OP in a hot minute. Edit: Changed RE: [Event] Operation Gisela | March 22nd, 19 UTC - Czechmate - 03-22-2024 Yeah the system bordering Alaska is a very big in RP reason why navy and LSF have order tech - we be grave robbing there for ages RE: [Event] Operation Gisela | March 22nd, 19 UTC - Einbeck - 03-22-2024 The first attempt failed. Another will follow next week, though amended. Roleplay continuation to be posted within the next days. As an "ooRP" note, the next event will have admin supervision if possible to avoid having people just dumpster the event ship. Thank you to everyone who showed up, but please read the event descriptions next time. RE: [Event] Operation Gisela | March 22nd, 19 UTC - James Greed - 03-22-2024 I've read better notes on the fridge at work RE: [Event] Operation Gisela | March 22nd, 19 UTC - Einbeck - 03-22-2024 (03-22-2024, 08:46 PM)James Greed Wrote: I've read better notes on the fridge at work Nomads gather in Zeta. They go to Omicron Minor via Omicron Delta. They are led by Wilde.Einbeck, which cannot be attacked until all Nomads are killed. The goal of whoever shows up is to destroy the Nomad force in 15 minutes or less to prevent a full scan on the Osiris. If the Nomads die within 15 minutes or less, the Einbeck can be killed. If they don't, the scans get completed and beamed out, regardless of the status of the Einbeck. RE: [Event] Operation Gisela | March 22nd, 19 UTC - Antonio - 03-22-2024 Fun event, kudos to all sides. I can't speak for everyone but the Core side had a blast. |
