Ever since the discovery of exotic materials in Earhart and its surrounding systems, I have taken the liberty of commencing the project for a prototype scanner array called "DETEKTIV". The premise of this is to utilize these exotic materials, which offer a plethora of useful applications not found in Sirian materials. My purpose for this project is to enhance long-range observation and espionage for future missions.

The scanner arrays available in Sirius today are quite antiquated; very little has changed since a decade ago. There is still very much to improve on, such as photosensitive materials, shielding against dense cloud fields and jamming signals, long-range detection capability, and computational power. Should the project be realized, we will have the best of both worlds.

The "DETEKTIV" scanner aims to resolve this by improvising current "Spyglass" scanner designs with the latest improvements garnered from the analysis of these exotic materials. The design involves reflective lattices coating the array, a prototype chip estimated to be at least two times faster than the "Spyglass" chip, powered up by organic capacitors cooled down by tubes of cryo-organisms similar to the "UNTERGANG" design. It is intended to be versatile, usable by any kind of ship.

I have allocated a minimum of five million as funding alongside the support of my research assistants and the artifical intelligence "WEISE". I have reached out to [REDACTED] for mutual assistance. The prerequisite materials will be tabulated once the design is finalized and feasibility has been checked thoroughly.

Project "DETEKTIV" will be designed using a top-down approach over the course of several months. Wing E has been allocated with a fresh batch of agents under my supervision. A total of 5,000,000 credits has been allocated, not counting potential aid from [REDACTED]. Currently, a total of 113 suggested designs were presented to "WEISE"; only design 87 was considered feasible enough after careful analysis, and has been chosen for the project. The development of "DETEKTIV" will be made in a modular manner, separated into sections E1 (array), E2 (lattice), E3 (scanner chip), E4 (coolant system), and E5 (power generator).

After tabulating the materials needed for "DETEKTIV", the process of gathering them will be reserved for the logistics division, as well as Daumann Heavy Construction. Due to the prevalence of hostile threats, the U-Korps division will be sent as escorts. It is estimated that this will take several weeks, if not months, to fulfill the task. Once this is done, construction of the scanner prototype will begin. Multiple field tests will be undertaken to ensure state-of-the-art performance. Once the scanner has been built, mass production will commence once we find a reliable way of collecting the materials.
