Secretary MacKay:

Sir,

Following several incidents of large numbers of Zoner affiliated vessels entering the Pennsylvania system, the First Fleet deployed the Maryland to the area to keep an eye on the fringes of the system. On the early hours of April 3 we were informed by the gate control in Texas that another group of these vessels had entered the system, soon followed by the monitoring satellites on the F-line picking them up heading towards the Dallas zone. Knowing that ships that head that way frequently end up in Pennsylvania, the Maryland was placed on high alert, and engaged her cloaking device to allow for more close observation of the area that the Zoners were believed to be operating in.

Arriving in the vicinity of the Starlight Industries facility along the Driftwood Field, we soon picked up the vessels on scanners, seeming to head directly for the aforementioned station. The Maryland then closed in and managed to capture scans of each vessel, finding that they were transporting materials that have been previously recovered from the systems beyond Alaska. Continuing to observe the vessels, it quickly became apparent that the ships were making for Starlight Industries, and one by one each of the ships moored and offloaded their cargo. I don't believe I need to cite the various laws that were broken by the operators of this facility in allowing such an action to take place.

Following their withdrawal from the mooring facilities, the Maryland moved back to orbit of Erie to ensure safe transmission of all recorded evidence to your office, as well as to First Fleet command. You should be receiving the files along with this transmission, encoded as per standard operational procedures. The First Fleet eagerly awaits your response, and we have started preparations to move capital assets to Pennsylvania, assuming that things pan out the way we expect them to.

Respectfully,

Jack Boehm
Captain, 1FLT
