We at Rowlett would first like to thank you for your phenomenal work on the new Hagworks installations. The extra space has been extremely helpful for our logistics team as has the ability to perform capital-grade weapons testing without load shedding.

Should the ALG be interested in further cooperation, there is a new project that we would like to offer to you. Both our engineers in our capital weaponry labs and some of our "field agents" have shown an interest in procuring a "Bustard" Civilian Light Carrier.

If we are not mistaken the ALG has facilities capable of making such a vessel in Witchter Station in Sigma-15. We understand that a vessel of such size may be a significant endeavor, but we are once again ready to foot the bill and assist in any way we can. We believe having a Bustard available will help safeguard our access to the exotic materials we require as well as provide a solid testbed for new weaponry and equipment.

We will eagerly await your response.

Kind regards,
Cailleach

Mr Burton,

Cailleach;

Good day to you, I am Simon Giraud, and I head the spacecraft engineering department at ALG's Research and Development Division.

This is a large order, but one that is within our possibilities. The technical data package is available to us and our facilities have the capacity for such a construction: ALG operates such a vessel ourselves; the Weltreise has proven a reliable platform for exploration, heavy fire support, and hyperspace traverse.
It is this latter point that I suspect will be of relevance. It is of course possible to operate a Bustard-type without this intention, but few do. This would need to clarification in advance, as it requires certain adaptations that are easier significantly, if applied during construction process.
This particular object to the side, the other specifications are of course also needed, these are highly customizable vessels. Please tell us the specifics in regards to cargo storage, crew accommodation, instrumentation, any other features that are to be accounted for - this need not be installations you expect us to do, but simply in terms of general planning, so we may set up the layout accordingly.

We look forward to this project,

Kind regards,
Simon Giraud

It is a pleasure, Mr Giraud. We are delighted that ALG is able to cater to our request. On to the specifics then.

The Bustard will in fact be expected to take on hyperspace travel. More specifically it will fit one of the products we have developed in-house, a capital-size "Hyperlink"-series jump drive, the technical specifications thereof we will of course provide so it may be properly integrated into the Bustard's systems.

Beyond that, as the vessel is expected to be a weapons testbed a slight deviation from the standard power array will also be necessary with extra redundancies and tightened tolerances. We understand such over-engineering can be time and resource-intensive but our technical teams have assured me it is absolutely necessary.

As for extras we will fit a heavily modified Ageira ECM suite onto the vessel once it reaches our facilities so it will need all the necessary interfaces so we may do that.

Then finally the living quarters. Our field agents have ... heavily "customised" one of the available preset modules. Some of the sections may be a bit outside of ALGs area of expertise and may require some subcontracting to an entity like Orbital Spa & Cruise. I do apologise for the inconvenience.

We will forward all relevant data to you. If there is anything else you need do not hesitate to ask.

Kind regards,
Cailleach

Mr Burton,

Cailleach;

We've received the file, our engineers are excitedly pouring over it now. We have laid out the broad specifications and begun construction of the more, shall we say, coarse elements. This is not complicated, it is just effort in material and man-hours. The inclusion of interior elements of other parties is no issue at all; this is something we would expect, even on our own vessels we contract with other companies which are in the specialization of furnishings and such partials.

Expectation is a completion of the basic frame in around two weeks, by which most specialty components should be able to be separately prepared. You should contact other supplies for delivery at Wichter; it is not possible in any efficient fashion to include such customization after closure of the hull.
We will keep you informed of the progress.

Kind regards,
Simon Giraud
