Liberty Security Force
Special Order - Urgent

Purveyors of Fine Arms,

Congratulations on the winning bid you're about to submit for a special arms contract. The Liberty Security Force is in need of a special consignment of the, and I quote, "killiest thing you can fit in a normal gun, and the scariest shiniest gun a man can carry to shoot it out of". If it can be shot out of a Pocket Blaster and definitely break something, we want it.

Alternately, give us the ultimate terrorist's gun, give us something rugged, graceless, brutal, and unbranded. We need prototypes of these to draw up countermeasures to them domestically, as well as [REDACTED][1] It is our intent to win the arms race before it starts, and we immediately thought of you.

Give us a quote on expedited production and appropriate compensation and we'll rush it through Appropriations.

Agent, it's a pleasure to hear from you. Johann Gatz, technical coordinator for Detroit. I'll be your point of contact for any and all drafting of preliminaries, such as this order, and the final bids will be entered and formally handled by Steve Harlan, our Undersecretary of Production. We have quite a few prototype models laying around that never made it to mass production for the exact reasons that, I believe, the government will be interested in them. Most notably, our MaxGuard, Strongbox, and Strongpoint series all developed from a family of prototypes that our engineers know internally by the preproduction designation "M-XXX". This preproduction is affectionately known as the "Shoot Blaster 9001" within the company.

The original concept for the M-XXX was a refinement of the old gyrojet pistol concept, with an eye towards use in emergency breaching ops for the Marines and Bounty Hunters Guild live-capture teams. However, when internal testing and legal analysis revealed it was so effective against armored combat walkers that its use by military forces would likely be a violation of intergalactic law, we scaled the projectiles down and ended up selling it as a hunter's handgun instead; I hear they're quite popular on Erie with turbolizard trappers, but I digress.

A production run of around three thousand unbranded Shoot Blaster 9001s would cost the LSF approximately ₡643,000. While I don't do work on the production side, one of our smaller factories on Houston could be retooled to have them out the door with ease. My best guess for total turnaround time would be around a month, but if money isn't a concern, we can bring in some outside contractors and your redacted assets would see their guns in about two weeks. If you need complete specifications for these souped-up M-XXX models, let me know and I'll have Mr. Harlan dig up the files.

It's always a pleasure to work with the LSF.

Bet.

Sounds like a plan, the financial institution will clear your payment in a couple business days.

We’re willing to pay extra for the expedited production, we are on a strict time limit and the sooner the kit is out, the sooner things can happen. And word from the top is that things are sure about to happen.

We’re on a time crunch, we’ll take your word that it kills something good. And if it’s really good, we’ll take your word even more, as well as even more of those guns. In fact, if you have a sample already available, we’ll take it[1].

As a special favor, if you can etch, then incompletely scratch out “Daumann” on one or two, we would be most appreciative. While it may rankle to let someone else take credit for your work, you’ll know, we’ll know, and you’ll likely recognize your handiwork in the coming months. The effort won’t cost much, I’d be asking more about the price of your silence on the matter, at least for a period of no less than six months.

Please be advised, expedited contact will not be possible until Tuesday as we are currently observing a partial blackout until a security breach has been patched.

[1] Auditor’s note: He plans to wow his assets with it. Don’t expect to see that specific piece of hardware again.

”That guy is sketchy as hell, man.”
“Maybe, but he strikes me as avaricious, and that is a trait I trust completely. Besides, I’ve done my homework.”
“Do tell.”
“Ah, that would be… telling.” “I hate when you do that.”
