Friend looking for PVE opportunities - Big Bison Bessie - 04-29-2024

Morning. So a little while ago I started playing this with a friend of mine who is just getting into Freelancer. So far we've done a lot of trading and smuggling to get him off the ground. My buddy though has always liked coop and PVE aspects of games, so I want to know if anyone had any insight on some good factions or areas that lend themselves to good missions or encounters with NPCs? Bonus points if the faction has a variety of enemies or encounters they can go at.

If you want to try Kusari, the KNF Discord is a good point to start. On the other hand, if you want to open your mind to other possibilities (read: have near constant PvE, PvP and RP action), playing a Wild is pretty straightforward, so head on down to our Discord. Both of these are linked in the Official Discord (link on main page), so they're fairly easy to find.

Liberty Navy and Corsairs are both factions with a good number of baddies to shoot and have access to some encounters, though Corsairs have a wider variety, and others play these IDs in number so you could have some friends around. They both have a decent number of enemies across their Zone of Influence to get some variety out of missions, but also plenty of potential to encounter player enemies too, so keep that in mind.

Most spawned NPCs won't shoot at you unless you're a particularly low level to avoid having them annoy roleplay in progress (which still happens sometimes, and some NPCs have higher thresholds but I don't categorically know which).

Here's a link to the PvE encounters, which require a small team with the right loadouts as I understand it to be able to defeat, with a big money reward. It's sort of the flagship PvE feature now as I understand it, having replaced battlezones from before.

Good luck, squaddies! If folks would like to correct me with superior PvE experience, please do
