Good day, I'd like to talk to you about the Platinum situation in Galileo. We're facing a few issues there but I usually turn those into opportunities. So I presented the idea to move some budget from California operations to funding a prison ship in Colorado instead. We got reports the Navy is moving more assets there so clearly that's not going to be a problem. I've confirmed that the junction near planet Gunnison will both stay up and clear for the imminent future. That's in excellent range of Galileo, supplies and potential backup patrols should anyone interrupt constructions. I know you've applied for subsidies to protect your platinum business. Now I can offer you the workforce to actually use all that ore. The colleagues planet side on Denver are already complaining that they can't hold the crew of corporate ships we found in violation of mining or attacking Liberty shipping. So we might as well put them to use. Then we have Xenos active in system. While we wait for them to be transferred to Huntsville they also might as well work in the refineries. It's community service essentially. Now I'd rather not go into the details of how a station or ship is built but I am the best person to oversee this process. So I'd like you to give me a quote for the initial construction and until when you think you could produce another prison ship. Sadly moving Sugarland or Huntsville was not an option. I checked. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Patricia Lyons

Rolf, CEO LOCATION: Susquehanna Station, Cortez SUBJECT: LPI Crowley Howdy there Mz. Lyons. I'm glad to see you contacting us before moving forward with the plan. One minor wrinkle that you need to be aware of is that we're startin' to lay the foundations for a super-refinery around Gunnison. But as long as you keep out of the way of the construction site, your plan sounds just grand to me. Our smaller scale pre-fab will start going up soon. Any security and workforce you'll be able to provide is a nice little bonus. I'm guessing the Denver-based overflow will prove sufficient after the refinery is complete, but the fellas with questionable background checks will be damn useful during the construction itself. I also gotta tell ya - I'm not as worried about the Xenos. While their head is in the wrong place, they're still Libertonians, and I'm sure they'll be able to see the benefit of us entering the Platinum market. No, I'm more concerned about our current competitors - Kishiro and the Zoner co-ops. I don't rightly know if they'll have balls to derail anything on their own, but they sure as hell gonna try to work with the people who will. I guess at some point it's all academic - if the construction site starts getting hit, we'll take all the help we can get. Now regarding your own construction quote. Practically, I don't see this being that different from my own pre-fab refinery that's about to go up. Maybe a bit heavier on the food and supplies aspect, and lighter on the alloys, but the overall costs should be pretty similar. So roughly speaking, we'd require about 3 mil in construction and personnel costs, with a third going directly to crew salaries. The rest will be spent on the pre-supply to actually build and outfit the station. Dependin' on the timeline for our own refinery, we may very well be able to store this stuff in our warehouses before our platinum refineries are fully operational. And of course, you're on the hook for the licensing and registration fees - my people will simply follow your lead and do what they do best. If that's agreeable to you and your people, I can have my folks draw up a formal contract, and I'll send it over to you for a signature. Rolf out. First, farthest, fearless. 「o」Message ends... |
