Background
Ian Carew, the last surviving founding member of the Mollys who has been with us since the Founders Day Revolt, has died.
He passed peacefully in his sleep. His role in establishing Arranmore and his stories of the movement's early days will never be forgotten. Aged 101, he witnessed the end of BMM tyranny when the Crown's viceroys were expelled from Dublin, a dream that so many of his comrades did not live to see. And now he has gone to join them.
Today, we will gather to say goodbye to him. We will gather to mourn the last vestige of our origins. We will gather to honour the legacy of our Founders as a new chapter of Molly history begins.
Event Details
- This is an open RP event, beginning near Arranmore at 19:00 UTC, 15th of June 2024.
- All Mollys are invited to pay their respects, participate in the funeral procession, and celebrate the Founder's memory. Characters belonging to other factions may attend the funeral or attempt to interfere with it.
- The event will end once the funeral ceremony is concluded or interrupted.

He is in one of the new Arranmore articles that have been added with the latest hotfix. I don't want to just copy/paste the whole news article word for word from the game. Just go and read it.

I can't claim to have welcomed it, unfortunately. The idea of giving an imaginative eulogy made me want to come out of my hiatus for a day, but unfortunately the "RP Event" advertisement ended up just not being the case.
