So we are in a rush because we thought we could take an easier approach. Anyway, this Project is for Raven in exchange for certain technologies for one of our crafts. This Project is about creating an adapted version of our cloaking system for them. Since we have the samples secured to match the system to them, we have been able to start the initial growth process of the device. Some of our subordinates are watching over it to ensure the perfect result for our dear Raven.
Meanwhile, we have been busy with the human interface. While the initial thought is to attach some wires it isn't that easy this time. We can take some parts and inspiration from our interface that we used to create, use, and modify our Personal weapons system, but that is only a thin line on a big empty canvas.
*They start to lean back and Cortana grabs herself a little device.*
We use this device to interface with our Weapons, we have only limited functionality for the simple reason of safety. We can for the Weapons only regulate the energy input, however, we will adapt the functionality of it so we can extend or shorten cloaking times, increase or decrease the efficiency to speed up the cloaking process, and much more. We mainly want more features so the Raven can adjust the device on the go without consulting ours every time for minor adjustments.

By adding the schematic above to the existing circuitry, we can create many more input and output points which in turn will lead to a more adjustable device. So far we have replicated the device from the weapons and are starting today with the new circuitry. We don't expect many difficulties when it comes to the interface, it is however possible that we burn through a few of those devices until we get the adjustments right and successfully evaluate the right Parameters.
As for that, we will start with some calculations and simulations. Yet it will be a first for ours to work on this technology, but we are sure that the Light will guide ours to the right path and solution.
Our next update will be about the progress of growth and the interface.

Update.. We managed to use the existing interface with the new circuitry, it went without many issues as we proclaimed in our last Log. At the same time, we initially struggled with configuring the in- and outputs. This consisted of wrong outputs when giving a signal into a completely different input. While we worked on that we realized that even the initial interface was flawed that we used for the weapons, this is a rather serious finding that we have to resolve as soon as possible. Yet this has little to do with our work on this Project. We managed to trace the fault back to the processor used in the interface. For some reason, that we can't explain properly the program read the inputs wrong and gave out signals when it was supposed to hold them and vice versa, a rather odd fault indeed.
But since we figured out that the fault was with the program we managed to fix them by applying a Patch that basically overhauled the whole system. With this new Patch, everything worked out as we intended it. We used a more sophisticated language, rather than the rudimentary one that we had before, while it does take some more time to get into it. At first glance, it does seem to be more reliable than before, and we get the outputs when we need them at the right place.
Now for the growth progress. While we made some good progress, it is still unclear how the device will turn out. While we had little to no failures in growing our devices independently, this one is a bit different. We would assume that we should get a clearer picture of it in the next few days. However, we can not really afford to have a failure in it as we don't have as many samples as we would like. In case the growing would turn out bad we would have to contact the Raven again for a few samples, but we don't really want to waste time waiting. As we should continue to work on our husk as well.
Anyway, we would like to detail more about the growing process but there isn't really much to talk about since it is a very passive part of the project that we can't influence too widely.
