It's exactly things like this that really do make you question the whole point of what we're doing- after all that we have done. But then one should also remember that it is up to us to do our best to make such things right.

Now there's not much we can do, not on our own that is. The situation down there is outside of juristiction of the department of defense and our only link to it is through the government. In short, it's a game of politics and the LPI is using it to it's own advantage. Well, I realized we can't send just send the fleet there obviously- at least not like that. So, I decided to play politics as well.

I held a meeting with Secretary McKay regarding this exact situation and explained the severity this holds against the current government. We came up with a solution and the secretary called for a meeting with the President; Naturally, as far as politics are concerned, such news don't really bring any good outlook for them. I wont go into details here, but I will just say that the President was "very convincing" for the Governor of Pennsylvania to reconsider their deal with the LPI.

So where do we stand? Well, appart from a pissed off LPI, we now also have the executive permission of the Commander in Chief to directly intervene in the situation down there.

Recently a new Task Force was created by the Homeland Defense fleet in combination with the Marine Expeditionary Forces 7 and 9. They have been specificially trained to deal with counter-insurgency operations and the subsequent processing and they are awaiting their first mission. All they need right now is someone to oversee their first deployment. Are you up for it?
