Multiple Mods - Brotherkane - 07-07-2024 So in the past you DL's FLMM and could swap from mod to mod, could get janky at times so usually we would set up a mod and rename the freelancer file to whatever mod it was, then redownload FL and do it all over again. as this mod has its own loader but still relies on the Venilla game loaded first is there a way to rename it so another fresh load of FL can be done to play Venilla or another mod? Sometimes I like to play the campain all over again. Just curious. Thank yoiu couldnt find the answer with the search tool. RE: Multiple Mods - darkwind - 07-07-2024 Freelancer Discovery during installations asks for Freelancer folder installed But it makes copy from it and installs to another folder. So you can keep multiple Freelancer Mods sure. But there is a problem with save games. Plenty of mods wipe all save games on game start For a reason of game potentially crashing otherwise. Beware of that. If u launch Freelancer Discovery, it will wipe save games. Save them first. RE: Multiple Mods - Fab - 07-07-2024 just have separate FL installations. ideally you should have: 1. Pure vanilla 2. Discovery Freelancer n. Mod #n don't alter your pure vanilla install as you'll use copies of it to install mods on top of the copies. also, discovery freelancer's launcher will delete your singleplayer savefiles. So, be aware that if a mod uses documents/my games/freelancer as a save folder, it will get deleted. |
