Breaking Point

You once served the Rheinland Military / Police with honor, pride and discipline. For the longest time, you considered yourself the protector of the nation, protecting the citizens from all those who would threaten the Federal Republic of Rhineland.

After the Rheinland Military opposed the Federalist Constitution and many of your comrades opposed the Republic and instead advocated a return to an Imperial Rheinland, you knew it was time to make a change and fought against your former brothers as a Federalist.

After the reunification, when the Federalists failed to regain their version of your home, you joined the Bundschuh in the hope of regaining a democratic alternative.

From Ashes To Action

Having been a dedicated and diligent miner within Daumann / Kruger for many years, you've witnessed the deteriorating health of numerous colleagues, alongside the company's inaction towards worker safety.

With reduced wages, layoffs, and even deaths due to severe conditions, the disorganization and negligence of your superiors have led you to resign and align with the Bundschuh, aiming to effect change for the oppressed workers of Rheinland who share a similar plight

Harvest Defiance

You once battled alongside the LWB against Synth Foods to free Planet Stuttgart. Over the years, you've decimated numerous escorts and seized many shipments.

When your movement disbanded and merged with the Farmer's Alliance, you saw the Alliance's influence rise as your ideals became overshadowed.

You've served as a politician / civil servant for a district on a Rheinland planet, aiming to serve your country to the best of your ability. You've witnessed the political intrigues of managing a house in the Sirius sector and the ensuing complications.

Over time, you observed corporate entities tightening their grip on your fellow policymakers. Legislation that would benefit the workforce was dismantled, while privileges for the capitalist class were strengthened. Your attempts to counter these actions were met with threats and efforts to silence you.

Eventually, you could no longer tolerate it and decided to flee, seeking out the Bundschuh in the hope of finding allies against the corruption you now aim to challenge.

Critical Awakening

During your years at the University of New Berlin, you encountered a range of ideas and analyses about the structure and control of Rheinland, through your studies in political science, sociology, and economics.

What particularly resonated with you were the writings of a populist author who criticized the economic conditions of the house and predicted their eventual devastation of millions of lives.

Unable to stand by as these predictions began to unfold, you sought out clandestine connections within the university, eventually finding a contact who introduced you to the Bundschuh.

Echoes of Empathy

As a Bounty Hunter, your trade was violence, and your quarry was the sector's criminal underbelly. Eventually, you received an assignment to capture a renowned Bundschuh activist in Rheinland, reputed to be no different from the typical felons you pursued.

Yet, upon locating your target, you discovered they were unexpectedly cordial and amiable, far from the merciless criminal you anticipated. Their ideas, unlike any you had encountered before, convinced you to employ your talents to assist those in distress rather than for personal gain.

Labs and Liberation

You were employed in the R&D Department of a renowned mega-corporation in Sirius/Rheinland. Your work in developing new pharmaceuticals, equipment, and various products was largely reserved for those who could afford them.

Dissatisfied with this, you resolved to apply your scientific expertise to benefit the people of Rheinland. Consequently, you aligned yourself with the Bundschuh, who assured you access to the necessary equipment to pursue your research.

Exodus

Once a citizen of Planet Nuremberg in the Munich System, you were aware that the encroaching Dark Matter Storm would eventually lead to the planet's downfall. In response, the government initiated an evacuation.

Sadly, the evacuation efforts were insufficient, with mostly the influential individuals being rescued.

Fortuitously, the Bundschuh's timely intervention through their refugee program provided you sanctuary on Bruchsal. There, you chose to remain and assist others in need.

A Step Further

You had previously been employed by ALG Abfallentsorgung in Rheinland. Despite the challenging nature of the work, your working conditions were significantly better than those of workers at other corporations in Rheinland.

During the Imperialists' onslaught, you remained loyal to ALG, opposing the new regime and witnessing the destruction of Dortmund Station.

As ALG came under intense scrutiny in the newly reformed Rheinland, you chose to depart and align with the Bundschuh, ALG's longstanding and somewhat questionable ally, in an effort to enact change.

Payback

You've never missed a shift, never lied about being sick, and have always been punctual. Your work was consistently reliable, and you supported your company. However, during a critical financial crisis, you were the first to be let go.

This experience led you to understand that employees may not protect their employers if it requires personal sacrifice. You resolved that individuals should not be dismissed to safeguard the interests of those in higher positions and now seek to avenge those who have mistreated their workers.

Paradise Lost

Once a respected figure in your local neighborhood, you were actively involved in community service, aiding the less fortunate. In the course of your work, you formed bonds with many local residents and forged friendships.

However, when imperialists rose to power, the community's mindset began to change. The value placed on community service diminished, and people became preoccupied with nationalistic parades, driven by imperial zeal. You witnessed the gradual decline of your community as social engagement dwindled and more individuals enlisted in the military or police force under the guise of "protection."

Confronted with the escalating tension and your dissent towards the new regime, you opted to join the Bundschuh, seeking solidarity with those who resisted the oppressive new order that was corrupting the collective conscience.

Squashed Legacies

Born into a noble family that has amassed wealth for generations by owning various smaller Rheinland corporations, you were raised with the belief that wealth is a reward for the deserving.

However, your perspective changed when you saw first-hand how your family participated in the layoff campaign of one of their companies, prioritizing their profits over the workers' livelihoods.

This stark revelation prompted you to abandon your affluent family and luxurious lifestyle to join the Bundschuh movement in their struggle for economic justice.

Breaking the Silence

As a top agent for the MND, you operated within high-security sectors on Schatten. During your tenure, you were assigned to a project focused on Nomad research within concealed MND facilities.

Your criticism of this project led to accusations of treason from your superiors, resulting in persecution and your subsequent flight.

Ultimately, you sought asylum with the Bundschuh, aligning with their cause to combat the persistent Nomad encroachment in Rheinland.

The clamor in Bruchsal, the protracted debates, and the skirmishes with age-old adversaries are all too familiar to you. As a dissident within the Bundschuh, such a life is nothing novel. Born into the movement, you have always been a member of promise. There is no secret that escapes you, and your name is perhaps known to many.
