Statement on the relocation of a prison ship within New London | 18/09/834 - The Kingdom of Bretonia - 09-18-2024 Home Office Press Release For immediate release: 18th September 834 Statement on the relocation of a prison ship within New London Following in the footsteps of the HMS Essex as the warship makes way for the Dublin Jump Gate following its refit at Portsmouth Shipyard - a joint Bretonia - Kusari effort - the Home Office announces that, in order to assist the Armed Forces on the constantly-evolving situation within the Dublin system and Cumbria Asteroid Field, a BPA prison ship - H.M.P. Magilligan - will be dispatched near the Glenridding Gap in the New London system. Consisting of two decks configured for maximum-security detention, with the intent of serving as temporary holding cells for captured Molly and Corsair pilots deemed individuals of concern (300 cells per deck), as well as a third deck converted into a hybrid hospital/logistics area for the treatment of combat casualties from the Dublin front and as a resupply port for Police and military convoys. The prison ship will maintain position in the area until the crisis is over to further aid in the liberation campaign. The Ministry of Defence, in close cooperation with its counterparts in Liberty, Kusari and Rheinland, will work towards assembling an inter-House task force, consisting of both volunteers and advisors dispatched by the relevant parties. The aim is that they will oversee operations aboard the prison ship and have focussed access directly to ongoing military manoeuvres surrounding the Dublin system. A follow-up announcement regarding the status of the Dublin Blockade and a possible amendment to restrictions regarding Human Cargo in light of these events will be released by the Bretonian Government over the course of the coming week. |
