So far it's molecular due to the luxury of being able to shrug at enemy mines in snub combat. Though I anticipate they'll teach me many bad habits in the weeks to come.

Befor 5.0 update i used on all my ships Positron,now i use Graviton.

The brave ones choose the Positron, then de-shield their own fleet.

Molecular - only because the shield impact effects are badass.
I don't much care for the shield special effects that were recently added in.
