[RETRACTED] Player Warned: GF:LOG)-Cnoc.na.gCloch - EisenSeele - 11-03-2024

GF:LOG)-Cnoc.na.gCloch has been warned for:RETRACTED

Quote:2.0 - Every ship must have one ID equipped, and play in a way that represents the role of that ID. Your ID explains what you can do and where. Some IDs have a 'Zone of Influence' (ZOI) where extra actions are permitted. All IDs have a ZOI in systems containing an NPC station of the same affiliation.

Consequences:

The context of this warning is that the letter of the rules concerning ID lines was broken. According to the ID, in House Space outside of ZOI, BMM can only attack Mollys, Aliens, or in defense self or allied ships. In this case, the warned player (a BMM ship) encountered a Corsair which did not make demands and instead decided to attack a nearby RM character. Given that the BMM ship and the RM weren't allied or grouped, there was no ID line that permitted the BMM ship to engage the Corsairs in aid of the RM. ADDENDUM: It has come to our attention that the player in question was notified that their actions were technically outside the scope of their ID, and they subsequently broke off the engagement but was reported for it anyway. For this, we are retracting the warning.

The staff team recognized that the letter of the rules in this regard did not make sense - so we are amendmending corporate IDs to allow for assisting non-hostile lawfuls against pirates.

If you require evidence, you may request such via PM from a Staff member. Only the accused or an official faction leader of the accused person's faction may request such. Once you have the evidence, and if you wish to dispute it, you may post in the Sanction Thread below. Do not continue PM'ing a staff member, as that will result in your Appeal being denied. If you PM a staff or post in the sanction thread and you are not directly involved, you are consenting to be subjected to the reprisal of my choice which may involve in game repercussions up to a ban. Blaming members of your immediate family, neighbors, friends, pets, and assorted Orcs, Trolls and any other legendary creatures may result in the use of Admin Right #CTE 750AE
