To: Hogosha Syndicates Encryption: Yes Subject: Arrangements Hello. It has been a while, I believe. There's a matter that requires a particular set of talents, ones I'm sure the Syndicates have an abundance of. It may or may not involve a proxy acquisition we cannot make ourselves.
There's good money involved, of course. Takers? Regards, Flora Transmission Over
RE: To: Hogosha - Hogosha Alliance - 11-12-2024 The Nikkyo Consortium A charming Gaian lady in need of a proxy acquisition. Interesting. I would expect you to choose the Green Front or another Gaian sympathizing affiliate before turning to us, so I assume it is complicated. Complexity generally means it will be rather expensive but if credits do not worry you as you say - we listen. Tell us how we may be of aid to you, Flora-san. - Masaru Sera, President of the Nikkyo Consortium RE: To: Hogosha - TheSauron - 11-13-2024 Incoming Transmission From: Flora, Gaians
To: President Sera Masaru Encryption: Yes Subject: Arrangements Mister Sera. It's a pleasure to make you acquaintance. You are correct about the complexity of the task, although said complexity is self-imposed. We are looking to acquire a Bulwark-class explorer, a model launched only recently from the Bristol yards in Bering. We've reached out to the company directly, but it appears they are quite concerned about their public perception. As such, a direct purchase is not possible.
With that in mind, we're looking to do it by proxy. To my knowledge, the Empire has recently removed the licensing requirements for Bulwark-class ships. I believe that makes for an excellent opportunity for a civilian startup or another to acquire a vessel for their own use. A vessel that they may or may not happen to lose somewhere along the way. While, as you yourself said, we'd normally employ local contacts for this type of endeavour, we'd prefer to have a layer of deniability here. WIth an acquisition this significant the usual channels will not suffice. I'm sure you understand where I'm going with this. Plenty of ways to make it happen, of course, but I'd not presume to tell you how to do your job, so I'll just ask. Can you get it done? Regards, Flora Transmission Over
RE: To: Hogosha - Hogosha Alliance - 11-13-2024 The Nikkyo Consortium Miss Flora. It really comes as no surprise that a start-up company like Bristol Constructions is wary of ship commissions for those some label criminals or terrorists. In order to survive in an economy dominated by large corporate players, they probably decided that running into trouble with one of the Sirian Houses would be too much to bear for now. I have the tendency to believe that an open request coming from one of the Hogosha syndicates would be met with a similar response as yours, so we will have to add as many layers of deniability as possible. Lucky you, the Consortium is the option for this within Kusari. There should be no issue arranging a proxy acquisition of one of their vessels through one of our shell companies. However, utilizing them is connected to a lot of hassle and forging the relevant details Bristol's customer support might ask may take a while, so bear with us for a little. I will direct this task to one of experts. She will lead the talks with Bristol Constructions and come back to you with more details as soon as possible. - Masaru Sera, President of the Nikkyo Consortium RE: To: Hogosha - TheSauron - 11-13-2024 Incoming Transmission From: Flora, Gaians
