To: OSI || From: Phoenix - Soban - 11-20-2024 Esteemed Zoners of the OSI, Allow me to introduce myself. I am Jonathan Cayran, a representative of the Phoenix. It has been some time since our organization last crossed, and I am honored to address you once again. As you are undoubtedly aware, the situation in the Omicrons has taken a dire turn following the unfortunate events at Freeport 9. The food supply in Theta is dwindling with each passing day, while conditions at Corfu and Pygar have reached critical levels. Even the modest shipments from Gran Canaria are proving insufficient to meet the escalating demand. To further exacerbate these challenges, recent alterations to the Omicrons' navigational spacescape have strained our supply lines, leaving us in a precarious position. In light of these circumstances, I am reaching out to request your invaluable support. To mitigate the growing crisis and ensure stability, we aim to secure a stockpile of essential supplies to sustain operations and avert further hardship. Our proposal is as follows: We seek weekly deliveries to Corfu Station, which will serve as a hub to distribute supplies to Pygar. The required provisions are detailed below:
For each delivery, a compensation of 400,000 credits will be provided, with payment processed through this channel. This agreement will remain in effect until the situation stabilizes, and your contributions will be pivotal in alleviating this crisis. I extend my gratitude for your attention and consideration and look forward to your support in these trying times. Together, we can uphold the values of unity and resilience that define our community. This contract will perdure until the situation stabilize. With resolve and determination, Jonathan Cayran, out. RE: To: OSI || From: Phoenix - Soban - 11-27-2024 RE: To: OSI || From: Phoenix - Omicron Supply Industries - 11-28-2024 Good day Jonathan, my name is Mary. Boosting the signal certainly helped as we only just got your message at Nichols today. As most of our staff and planners are busy elsewhere I want to let you know your request was received. I will forward it to the appropriate supervisor for evaluation. Mary Ellis-Dwight - Dispatcher - Omicron Supply Industries RE: To: OSI || From: Phoenix - Soban - 12-17-2024 RE: To: OSI || From: Phoenix - Omicron Supply Industries - 12-18-2024 To: Jonathan Cayran Subject: Re: Mr. Cayran, Thank you for reaching out to OSI. We understand the challenges the Omicrons are facing. However, we believe the situation may not be as critical as your message suggests. While we acknowledge the challenges the Omicrons are facing, we do not believe the situation is as dire as described. We have recently visited both the MFE Academy in Theta and Freeport 9 (now jointly operated by Zoners and Corsairs) and observed that daily provisions transport to Corfu is already underway. The Academy itself has upgraded their hydroponics systems as to produce food and oxygen for Corfu and Pygar for that very reason. Where it comes down to medical needs and assistance, the Corfu Station administration is aware that they can contact their friends at the MFE Academy at any time. We suggest that Phoenix opens a dialogue with those actively involved in supplying Corfu and Pygar. The MFE Academy would be a valuable point of contact for this purpose. Sincerely, Bartholomew Kelsomagus - Chief Executive Officer - Omicron Supply Industries RE: To: OSI || From: Phoenix - Soban - 12-20-2024 Greetings Mr Kelsomagus. It is a genuine relief to finally establish contact with someone on the other end of the telecommunication systems. Regrettably, we were unaware of the MFE’s efforts to deliver essential supplies such as food and oxygen. It appears that in his precipitous departure, Mr. Vanclout—ah, Voncloud!—left us with little to work with. Mr. Anderson, our local administrator, observed upon his return to Corfu that a significant portion of critical data and files had mysteriously disappeared. Moreover, it has come to our attention that the local ecclesiastical institution, with its burgeoning congregation, has monopolize the existing supply lines. This development raises concerns that even among the Zoners, positions of power may inadvertently foster tendencies toward corruption. While I am no expert in theological matters, the reports suggest a troubling scenario: non-believers are being marginalized, left to endure considerable hardship unless they acquiesce to the church’s fold. It is worth noting that many of these challenges trace back to the time of Mr. Voncloud’s tenure as Phoenix administrator—a position he reportedly usurped and continued to wield even after his abasement of powers. The resulting instability has only exacerbated the difficulties we face today. Of course, I am fully aware that crises often magnify or obscure the realities on the ground. To that end, I shall be requesting a more comprehensive and objective assessment of the situation from Mr. Anderson to better understand the dynamics at play. What remains perplexing, however, is the congregation’s insistence on remaining in such an unforgiving environment, particularly when Gran Canaria once provided a far more suitable refuge for their needs. Now, back to the matter at hand: While the MFE Academy might be able to mitigate the immediate food crisis, our ambitions to expand the habitable sections of the cave system and sustain livable conditions require additional resources. Resources that MFE doesn't produce as far as I know. To this end, the colony still need the following:
Should you be in a position to facilitate the delivery of these commodities, we would be most eager to negotiate the terms. However, if your resources are currently committed elsewhere, there is no need for undue concern. We have observed an encouraging increase in opportunities within the sector, which may allow us to address these needs through alternative channels, should the support of our fellow Zoners not be forthcoming. With resolve and determination, Jonathan Cayran, out. RE: To: OSI || From: Phoenix - Omicron Supply Industries - 12-21-2024 To: Jonathan Cayran CC: Med Force Enterprises, Med Force Enterprises Academy, NCC Subject: Re: Mr. Cayran, Please call me Bob from here on, this makes it so much easier for me and thank you for shedding light on what appears to be a precarious situation. I’m glad to finally make contact with you and hear about the situation you’re facing. I understand things have been tough after Mr. Voncloud’s sudden departure and the missing data and files. It’s no surprise that it’s caused quite a bit of disruption. Especially when we are all trying to help out without knowing who does what and when. To help, I'm personally prepared and ready to take a vessel with essential supplies to support the colony thereby giving my staff some well-earned time with their loved ones during the festive season. I also took the liberty of looping in Med Force Enterprises (MFE) and NCC on this message, as they’re already active in the Omicron Theta area and helping out where they can. Since both NCC and MFE have a presence there and are already working to provide assistance, it made sense to include them in this conversation to make sure we’re all on the same page. I hope that we can all work together for the benefit and well-being of those we serve. I know the leadership changes have added to the strain on everyone, but here at OSI, we’ve always been ready with a backup plan to make sure things don’t fall through the cracks. Interstellar logistics aren’t always easy, and we’ve learned the hard way to stay prepared for the unexpected. We’re here to lend a hand however we can. Even though things may seem messy right now, it is my belief that we Zoners have always looked out for each other, and that won’t change, no matter what local agreements or issues may arise. We’re all in this together, and we’ll do our part to help. Looking at the immediate needs you’ve outlined, we’re ready to help get the following supplies to you:
Let us know what works best for you, and if you agree I will arrange these supplies being sent over. If you need anything else, or if there’s any way we can further coordinate to support Phoenix, don’t hesitate to reach out. Sincerely, Bartholomew Kelsomagus - Chief Executive Officer - Omicron Supply Industries RE: To: OSI || From: Phoenix - Pennyfield - 12-21-2024 To: Jonathan Cayran CC: Med Force Enterprises, Med Force Enterprises Academy, NCC Subject: Re: Good day Jonathan, As I had time on my hands and was wasting time at the office I went out and got your supplies delivered to Corfu as per your request. In the spirit of the festive season and more importantly, that this directly benefits my fellow Zoners I'd say this one is on me. Happy holidays. Kind regards, Bartholomew Kelsomagus - Chief Executive Officer - Omicron Supply Industries RE: To: OSI || From: Phoenix - Soban - 12-21-2024 Good day to you as well, Bob, You’ve reached me at just the right moment I was about to reply. It seems the OSI continues to surpass even its own esteemed reputation. You have both the colonists’ and my deepest gratitude. Rest assured, the supplies will be put to immediate and effective use. The equipment will be invaluable for establishing much-needed gallery expansions, and we consider incorporating additional mining materials once circumstances stabilize. Please do inform us of the cost of this shipment, and don’t hesitate to provide a quote for any supplementary supplies the colony may require. We are prepared to accommodate any additional expenses incurred due to the uptick in alien activity within the Omicrons. Wilde patrols near Pygar have become an unsettlingly regular occurrence in our recent patrol reports. Finally, your suggestion to involve the MFE in this endeavor is commendable; their support will undoubtedly be pivotal to the enterprise’s continued survival. As for the NCC, I trust their involvement will help bring greater clarity to the planet’s situation—provided they refrain from preaching any illogical rhetoric. Jonathan Cayran, out. |
