LIBERTY SECURITY SQUADRON Liberty Security Forces Division
UNIT BRIEF
The Liberty Security Forces Special Squadron (LSS), unofficialy called "Spooks", is an experimental unit within the Liberty Security Forces (LSF) tasked with conducting high-risk operations both within Liberty space and in designated action zones across the Sirius sector. Notorious for its unorthodox tactics, ruthless efficiency, and disregard for conventional rules of engagement, the current LSS member has already carved a reputation of patriots, renowned for their unyielding dedication to Liberty's security.
The origins of the LSS can be traced back to the aftermath of the Inverness operations under LSF taskforce "Tuscaloosa", a highcosted conflict between the Liberty and the Technocracy of Auxesia. The LSF suffered unacceptable losses during the engagements, exposing critical gaps in its operational capabilities, particularly in dealing with advanced threats such as infectees, augmented combatants, and AI-enhanced hostile unit
In response, LSF Command authorized the formation of a specialized squadron composed of veteran operatives with proven combat records and technical expertise. The unit was officially designated as the Liberty Security Forces Special Squadron (LSS) and given the callsign "Safari", derisively reflecting its mission of hunting down high-value targets even in far territories.
As many questioned the ethics and legality, The LSS was initially formed as a small, experimental unit, but its success in operations — particularly in the Omicron Kappa system — led to its expansion and integration into LSF's broader strategic framework. However, after proving Liberty's ability to project power like a long hand in outer regions, the LSS has been called home and is now focused on addressing internal threats within Liberty territory.

UNIT PROFILE
The Liberty Security Forces Special Squadron (LSS) is currently directed to prioritize internal threat mitigation within Liberty space, ensuring the security and stability of the Republic. The unit’s mission profile includes the following key objectives:
- Counter-Terrorism Operations(CTO): Identify, track, and neutralize domestic threats, including insurgent cells, rogue operatives, and advanced hostile units such as infectees. Conduct high-precision strikes against high-value targets (HVTs) posing an immediate threat to Liberty’s security.
- Internal Security and Stability: Support LSF efforts to maintain order in high-risk systems, including border worlds. Provide rapid response capabilities to emerging threats, ensuring minimal disruption to civilian populations and critical infrastructure, especially Liberty corporate assets.
- Technical Integration: Advance the integration of AI-assisted systems, demonstrated by Core during Zeta offensive and during defense of planet Gammu, into LSF operations, focusing on surveillance, threat detection, and rapid response. Test and deploy experimental technologies to enhance the unit’s operational effectiveness in countering advanced threats. As enemy forces continue to advance their technological capabilities, the LSS must prioritize the acquisition and integration of next-generation systems to maintain tactical superiority.
The LSS’s overarching objective is to safeguard Liberty’s internal security while maintaining the flexibility to redeploy for external operations as required. This dual focus ensures the unit remains a versatile and indispensable asset within the LSF’s strategic framework.

- PRIMARLY ALLIED — Factions and entities that maintain formal alliance due to being part of Liberty. It is important to note that since the LSF retains the authority to inspect and oversee all Liberty entities, LSS might ensure compliance of primarly allied units with Liberty’s security protocols and strategic objectives.
- CONDITIONAL ALLIES — Factions and entities with situational or limited partnerships. Cooperation is based on shared interests or immediate threats, and these relationships may shift depending on further developments. Intelligence operations in this category are flexible and adaptive to ensure Liberty’s interests are prioritized.
- NEUTRAL — Ones that are non-aligned and do not pose a direct threat to Liberty. Engagement with these groups focuses on maintaining positive relations, facilitating safe passage, and leveraging their resources for Liberty’s strategic benefit. Intelligence operations are conducted discreetly to avoid compromising these relationships.
- LIBERTY ADVERSARIES — Factions and entities that are usually open hostile to Liberty and its interests. These groups are actively engaged through targeted operations, intelligence gathering, and strategic disruption to minimize their impact on Liberty’s security and economic stability. In certain cases, they may be subject to collaboration considerations.
- EXISTENTIAL THREATS — Factions and entities that pose a direct and immediate threat to Liberty’s survival. These targets are classified as high-priority and are subject to immediate termination with no collaboration considerations. Intelligence operations are relentless and uncompromising in identifying and neutralizing these threats.
