Earlier today, I was setting up a IMG character. Now, knowing that the CR was hostile, I went to tau-39 to go get a fighter. However when I checked both stations, the Nyx wasn't available at either station. So, not knowing that I couldn't increase the CR rep, I went and tested if missions or bribes would increase it, which, they of course did not. However the one that had the eagle and falcon, also had a Pytho.
Now, while I can understand the lack of Battleship in the IMG guard system, I am rather upset about the unavailability of the Nyx to anyone but the CR. I am unsure whether it was intentional because the devs only wanted the CR to have it, intentional, so that it increases RP between the IMG and CR, intentional for some other reason, or unintentional. Because in the infocard it says:

The Nyx is generally considered a Colonial fighter.
Plus, there is no CR NPC faction, so all you need to go to tau-44 is IMG guard rep.
Typically, the IMG will fly either the Ravon's Talon, the Eagle, or the Charon as a fighter.

Regarding our NPC faction, there's currently a little setback with not being able to increase the rep.
In the next mod update, it'll all be fixed, and also, Colonial NPCs will not be guard, and will start out neutral to most, with strong negative empathy towards Outcasts and BAF/BMM, and strong positive empathy towards IMG.
So you'll be able to increase our rep if need be.
Mind you that you should watch out that you don't get our tag though.
As for the Nyx in general.. Well. That ship used to be the Viper Mark II, and was renamed and a new model made by Doom for it. Was always ours basically, and I reckon that had we had an NPC faction sooner, most of the ships he made'd have been ours, if not all.
But I don't think we oughta be selfish with this, or cause any kind of stupid power struggle, so it'd be best, if you ask me, to come to some sort of arrangement to make those ships that were characteristic to ourselves and ourselves alone ours, or cooperated projects in design between our two NPC factions.
Personally, the whole situation's a bit quirky to me, I don't know myself whose ship it's considered really.
If you ask me it should be considered of the Colonial shipline, or at the very least, it's infocard should state that it was a cooperation between the IMG and Colonial Remnant, seeing how it's our shipyard in the Taus in the first place.
But anywho, I'm getting astray.
You'll be able to purchase it when the next mod update hits, and I also believe the IMG get a few more things in their guard system.
EDIT: But.. do mind that the ship is restricted between ourselves and the IMG, and unless you're one of the two aforementioned, you're not allowed to buy it, in-RP, or in server rules.
Theoretically, you can buy it if we let you buy it for some reason, like doing a massive amount of jobs for us, whatever RP you can think of leading to it, etc.

Good to know, and I always figured that the new IMG line was more of a CR line anyway, however, the weirest thing is that in 39, theres the IMG bomber, but not the VHF, when you would probably expect the opposite.
