The story is removed completely in Discovery. OpenSP, so if you're wanting to finish the original story, either vanilla, or version 4.84 is your best bet.

On a sidenote, just use vanilla FL (un-moded freelancer) to play the SP campaign.

The new 'story' is what you see when you play the game.
Bretonia/Kusari war, Rheinland/Liberty war etc.
There is no new singleplayer campaign.
