SN trouble? - looqas - 06-09-2009 Well, I was flying mah BH bomber and sometimes the SN would not just fire. The arcs were fine, the power core full (or very near it) and I could hear the "clutch" sound like missfire. Kinda annoying when in a duel and have to wonder if it fires this time and possibly ending up smashing the button and missing the shot completely. Anyone else having some strange feelings with the SN? It never has behaved like that before. SN trouble? - tansytansey - 06-09-2009 Torpedo hard points on Bombers had their turning arcs reduced in 4.85 (it's been like this for a few Betas) So if you try firing a SNAC at a sharp angle, it will not fire at all. This is because Bombers were not designed to shoot other bombers or fighters, and is a way to reduce their effectiveness without severely damaging their anti-cap abilities. SN trouble? - ChainReaction - 06-09-2009 I actually have a question too about the SNAC. When I try to fire by pressing the key that I've assigned it to in the settings("r" with me -> "launch torpedo"), it doesn't respond to it. I've tried several other buttons, but none of them have any effect. Somebody else that I know, who also has the BH bomber, has the same problem. This is pretty annoing in a fight seeing how I can't fire my SN. I hope somebody has a solution for this Greetings, Chain SN trouble? - Zero755 - 06-09-2009 The SN is an energy weapon and though it occupies a torp slot the hotkey for "Fire Torpedo" will not work. If you want easy access to it find what weapon it is on your weapon list and assign the "Fire Weapon X" (X being the slot the SN is on ) to whatever you like. Alternatively set up some weapon groups. SN trouble? - Robert.Fitzgerald - 06-09-2009 I'm fairly sure it has something to do with right-clicking (or whatever your keys are for firing weapons) before the refire has come up (ie, right clicking 2 seconds before the refire is up). SN trouble? - ChainReaction - 06-09-2009 Thanks zero, that was what I needed to know Greetings Chain SN trouble? - looqas - 06-09-2009 I see... I have missed the firing arc change. That must be it. I have to do some tests. In a heat of battle things are pretty close... I still feel that the energy has to almost full (a lot more full than SN seems to use). But thanks for the replies guys. SN trouble? - Dusty Lens - 06-09-2009 1) You can set the SN to a weapon group and, thereafter, a hotkey to fire that weapon group. 2) If you fire a SNAC prior to it being fully ready to fire again, in either energy or weapon recharge time, you activate the worst bug in the entire world which causes the SNAC to fizzle, miss a cycle and then you're flying around while that STUPID EFFEJFSIOJHFIO GUNBOAT'S SHIELDS RECHARGE AND YOU DODGE AND YOU DODGE BUT ALL YOU CAN THINK IS "WHY ISN'T MY SNAC FIRING" and "DID I TAKE OUT THE TRASH" and "OH THAT 'OL BALL AND CHAIN IS GOING TO GRIPE GRIPE GRIPE. WHERE'S THE MONEY DUSTY. MISS ANOTHER KILL DUSTY? OH I WISH I HAD NEVER MARRIED YOU DUSTY BECAUSE YOU ARE INCAPABLE OF KNOWING LOVE AND I'VE HAD MORE FUN SITTING ON TOP OF A WASHIFEHUSHFUIEHSIFGUHSE guzj o[f' gr ge gejig\weg er he hg rg re g I hate that snac bug. SN trouble? - Seth Karlo - 06-09-2009 Dusty, some times you worry me. A lot. Also, I retract my "He's fine to be the president" statement, as I worry what you would do to Carina. SN trouble? - Saigo.Watanabe - 06-09-2009 Exactly what Seth Said. Yet i also have the problem but when using the hotkeys... as in pressing 6 or w/e the snac is in. |
