ALG hauling Gallic Junker goods - Cyberanson - 06-09-2009
We know that the Junkers and ALG Waste Disposal are somewhat friends. They have a close relationship, but no alliance at all.
What I'm thinking about is, if we (ALG) could transport stuff (Cryocubes, Promethium) from, let's say Lodeve Base in Languedoc to somewhere else outside of Gallia. Would this be ooRP, or does ALG know about the base from the Junkers?
I would be glad if someone could help here.

In my opinion , they really shouldnt even know those bases existed. I dont think we are "friendly" to the point of sharing that type of intel. Also , theres quite the distinction between Sirius Junkers and the gallic ones , it be stated or not. So , i'd have to say its not likelly. But then again , i aint no junker encyclopedia ...

I believe there is a Gallic junker faction, might want to try to contact them. For the moment though, I would say no. The field has just been breached (about a month ago) and only those at java station know what is going on. Let the smugglers and freelancers explore and report back, then maybe send in an expeditionary team, if you think it is within ALG RP. Finally, then you can trade, though i dont know if lodeve sells either cryocubes or prometheum. I certainly wouldnt think prometheum.

R?union sells Promethium and Lodeve cryocubes... I informed myself about that. It's just... those two commodities would fit perfectly into the ALG line of goods.

ALG would probably be more likely to partake in a joint venture alongside the IMG than the Junkers.
ALG are not "allied" to Junkers per se, Junkers are simply used to do the really dirty work that ALG doesn't want to handle (Junkers don't get health and safety officers poking their noses in:P).
Gallia is probably more of a secret for Junkers than the fact that they smuggle or pirate...and I'm guessing ALG doesn't know that...

I'd say that would be a little far out, especially since ALG is a shipping corporation second, as I understand they primarily haul the stuff Republican doesn't want to.

See ALG as the underdog company which tries to overthrow the existing corporation structure in Rheinland, which contains of corruption, exploitation of workers and environmental pollution. The topic ALG can't be explained with this sentence, but take it as some really broadly speaking description. I developed the current faction status out of the rumors and with the help of some good informed people and this statement doesn't fit at all.
Right now, we have our own routes and they mostly fit into our companies RP. I figured out some really good ones, which primarily insist of metals, trash and dangerous stuff, in order to make the trading as plausible as possible. (Have a look here also, please.)
In this times, when the border to Gallia is slowly opening, it is only a matter of time until the news of the new factions and systems will reach ALG. Don't forget, we have powerful allies, which are right next to the front door of Gallia, namely the IMG and the Colonial Remnant. I often drop stuff at their bases, for example Mining Machinery (Yes, ALG has very sophisticated stuff.) at the Dounby Base in Orkney. The one day I saw the R?union in the bright sun of this system and I traveled there. On this Council Base Prometheum is sold, a commodity which perfectly fits in our line of goods (radioactive, hazardous, dangerous).
tazuras, I guess you're right when you say that it would be best to wait for some further exploration by others. This would work for me.

The IMG has only just initiated first contact with the Gallic factions here. We were a little late of the mark when the betas first came out (a few other factions, some of which have never been seen in the Taus beat us to it), so we decided to do it right when the final was released. I'm not one to restrict another's RP, but I thought I'd might as well bring it up, considering the IMG has the greatest chance of making the first non-junker contact. I'd like to think of the transmissions in that thread uccuring before all the other ones were made for that reason, but whether you wish to think the same is up to you.
EDIT: god that's a horrid post... Basically what I'm trying to say is yes, you can go for it IMO, but keep in mind that we haven't started trade negotiations ourselves yet.. In fact, I don't think an IMG member has even set foot in gallic space yet in-game, and the ALG is most likely to get word of Gallia from the IMG..
