Hello, I recent got same problem that was buggin me 2 months ago, but I upgraded PC and It stopped.
Yesterday, this problem appeared again:
I have to wait 5 minutes till server appear... It is for ALL servers even my server.
I deleted and reinstalled all, but nothing!

The main server has resets and crashes alot, time for a reset or crash is 10mins before you can get in, as i see, its more than that with you, check your firewall, and are you using a router?

Change the shortcut target to "Freelancer.exe" as opposed to "DSUpdate.exe".
Post whether it works or not.

No, if the mod is correctly installed, you should just run Freelancer.exe.
There's a program called DSInstallChecker.exe in the Freelancer\EXE directory. It makes a file containing checksums of your installation. Run it and send me the file in produces. I'll check it against a known good installation.
