SUMMARY
The explorer mission is a proyect financed with private funds, to collect information of all sirius deep known space. This information will be part of a private database. To perform the mision, will be used a Civilian ship with some features which will be labeled later. The crew will be recruited according to the requirements of the ship. The scientific team will be formed by a biologist, a geologist and an astrophysicist.
THE MISSION
Biological Mission: The ship must land in every non hostile station or planet to get human blood samples, breath air samples, get medical record samples. And, if it is posible, samples of alien native species.
geological Mission: Identify and analyze the internal structure of the planets visited. entering the atmosphere if possible and if the research requires. collect samples of mineral land.
Astrophisical Mission: measure spectrum and temperature of the stars belonging to a system. Classify according HR diagram. Measure gravitational impact of the different elements of a system. Measure radiation an electromagnetic spectrum emitted by stars and different regions of space. Measure backspace radiation.
THE INFORMATION
The crew has orders to go as far as possible to collect the information, even if the Houses authorities deny the permison to go throught any system*.
The biological information will open an active research of enviromental patterns wich could origin mutations in human beings due the ingravity, food, breath and exposition to radiation.
The astrophysical and geological database will be used for the realization of a new advanced navigation chart.
THE SHIP
the ship must have the following features:
- High hull resistance
- High cargo bay
- Fighter/Bomber handling
- Spacious Bridge for crew and scientists.
- Wide hull for placement of measuring devices
A contest was held between 3 ships and the winner was the heavy fighter class MAFIC. In second place was the well known Spatial and third the Armored Transport.
Mafic Super Heavy Fighter accomplish all especifications. Spatial doesnt have enought room for scientifics and Armored Transport, despite of its firepower, armor and room, lacks maneauverability to evade hostile ships.
modifications: The original Mafic ship have a small restrooms with bunks to accomodate another crew of 4 members: it means 8 in total. The Mafic Cockpict will be modified to allow 5 members. The restroom will allow private bunks for each member and a redesigned WC.
The hull will be reinforced with the system ARMOR VIII to keep the crew and equipment safe from impacts of asteroids, radiation and maybe, weapons. Several mesaure devices and antennas will be placed along the hull. This devices are conected to the HPC.
A high perfomance computer (HPC) will be installed on avionics compartment, but its size makes get some room of the cargo bay. The HPC manages several features of the ship.
The ship has been designed for the fight, but it will be avoid as far as posible. Any fight could increase the mission costs. But if the mission its in danger, the ship is allowed to engage. 3 Buckshot Turrets, 1 Improved Debilitator MkI, a Cannonball missile launcher and a Mini-Razor Cannon are the forward array. 2 Mining turrets looking rear allow get mineral samples on dangerous space asteroid fields. A Enhanced Countermeasures cover rear from missiles or cruise disruptors. Mine deployer is optional for the crew.
The cargo hold contains several freezer for biological samples. it also carries, food, air and water for long operations.
THE CREW/SCIENTIFIC TEAM
The Mafic requires 1 pilot/navigator officer and 1 weapons operator/communication officer. It needs another 2 crew members for the cargo bay pay officer and cockpict technician. The HPC gets some work load of the crew and gives priorities as the situation requirements.
the crew hired is:
Sun Tzu: Pilot. Aged 31. his chinesse blood makes him being accused of being part of coalition. Worked as miner for IMG as slave, after an accident with corsairs involved, joined GMG security forces. Was illegally fired for find some irregular actions on GMG security forces. Worked as freelancer in Freeport 9, where have several fights with Outcast and Corsairs piloting a Eagle Civilian Fighter. He was shot down by a group of corsairs and found several days later for a independent trader. Months later, he could buy another eagle and worked as Vigilante in Freeport 2, Bering.
Tyra Miraborg: Weapons Officer, Aged 43 Very experimented bomber pilot. Her body is riddled with scars and marks that reinforce the stories are told about her. In the moment of her hiring she was working as Vigilante in a bomber, having Sun Tzu as Partner.
The Scientific team:
Johana Stonegood: Biologist. Aged 29. Intelligence exceptionally. Bornt in a good wealth family in Cambridge planet, she could study and learnt from the best biologist ever since she was a child, around all Sirius.
Tekuro Tukulo: geologist. Aged 37. Lived, Goown and studied at New Tokyo.Pioneer of some kind of geological prospections. Worked for IMG, Samura Heavy Industries And Kishiro techs. In the moment of being hired, he was working for Deep Space Ingeeneering.
Wolfgang B?rg: Astrofisical. Aged 58. Joined Deep Space Ingeenering when finished study. He lived in liberty space since young. he ealborated several theorical researchs and colaborated witht he building of the new jumpgates. He knows many of the Liberty deepest military secrets.
