The Battle For Corfu - Krog - 01-21-2007 The Black Fleet and it's allies desire control of the Corfu base and the sapce between it and the omega 41 jump hole.... What we desire is to reach an agreement with the AW for the right's to that sector of omicron theta...we have no designs on the system as whole nor any designs on any other Asgard controled space. For the record...on more than one occassion,TBF Gladiator has run off a terrorist battleship that has attempted to disrupt trade at corfu...we are just trying to make a livin folks...please be reasonable... We are lost here...stranded....we need a home and a profitable one at that for the oh so few Klingons who have survived. We are willing to share a percentage of the proceeds from licensing fees, taxes and such with the Asgard in exchange for control... It is a small thing we are requesting here....and we are willing to be reasonable and fair ...BUT IF FIGHT FOR IT WE MUST... FIGHT FOR IT WE WILL Pain is nothing more than weakness leaving the body... Krog out The Battle For Corfu - Korrd - 01-21-2007 Due to our failed first contact in theta tonight, I issued orders to the AW forces to KoS on you. But after reading this request, I think that its not on our mutual interest to fight each other to death. I have now issued orders to our forces to attack only if attacked first. And stand on yellow alert, defensive-only status. We will now discuss the terms of this request here. Your men fought with honour, and we will be honoured to be allied with your people, as you seem to have some things in common with us, old Warriors of the Asgard... *waits for Dab to begin negotiations* OOC: Now i go to bed. And tomorrow i may not be in as i have a lot to program. The Battle For Corfu - Dab - 01-21-2007 I believe a compromise can be made. But what AW will not allow, is the control of any part of Theta by any other faction. You may use it as your base of operations and staging base/practice area. But we will not allow you to police the system as you see fit. The no-hostilities law by AW covers all of Theta, and will remain in place until we are gone or no longer control the system. This seems to conflict, as the TBF have made it there business to shoot every ship on sight, and to continue fighting after being ordered by an AW vessel to cease hostilities against the Bs|. My guess is you plan to take the control of Corfu and Omega-41 jump hole, to pirate incoming traders on the Cambridge run. If you merely wished a home, there are plenty that would keep you from a hub of traders. The sole use of Corfu is for the transportation of alien organisms to Cambridge, therefor having little to no use for any other activities. Before I am willing to talk any farther about this, I want a list of the TBF's reasons for wanting the Corfu area, and what laws and operations you will or may have in the area. The Battle For Corfu - Krog - 01-21-2007 We sincerley appreciate the Asgard willingness to discuss this matter. Give me a day to talk it over with sargon and we will present our goals. I can say this....we will agree to a sesation of hostilities, until we can reach an agreement or reach an unbrigeable impasse in discussions. TBF ships will not fire first, other than upon a very chosen few who have instigated agression against us, namely a few well known terrorists:)) We will be in touch... Krog out ps Dab....I've heard rumors there is a sizeable bounty on your head ...is this true?;) The Battle For Corfu - Dab - 01-21-2007 ' Wrote:ps Dab....I've heard rumors there is a sizeable bounty on your head ...is this true?;) OOC: Wasn't very large, only 40 million. And the guy withdrew it a few days ago. The Battle For Corfu - ghostcat - 01-21-2007 Hmm, should any pirating occur, ghost squadron will mobilize for any traders requesting aid. Otherwise, welcome Klingons. *salutes* ghost out.. The Battle For Corfu - TankTarget - 01-21-2007 A word of warning to the TBF. Should you all engage the Aw or eventually go to war with them or one of our other allies... The HF *WILL* respond with *FORCE*. But if that does not happen and we all get along nicely...the HF is happy to see another faction enter into Sirius. OOC: Welcome to the server TBF but I must ask...Why is Freelancer being bombarded with so many factions that represent different TV shows... (BSG...TBF). The Battle For Corfu - Dab - 01-22-2007 Since the TBF have yet to state their intentions on this matter I will state some of my own directives. Any goals along the lines of taxation, piracy, terrorism, contrabanding of commodities, or simply restricting people's access to Theta will be unacceptable and unallowed by the AW. Traders are given free reign to their access to Theta unless hostilities had occured due to that person's fault. Right now the only thing I'm willing to let you do, is use Corfu has your home base. That means ships to defend yourself, as well as your rallying point and staging point. We would allow you to position battleships, though the number might be limited if we feel you are moving in numerous ones, and even bombers, which are restricted to most others. The TBF may have reign over their area of Theta, but the AW are still ultimately in control of the system, meaning any laws or operations that affect others that TBF plans to execute in the system must be approved by AW. Also, the no hostilities order is still in effect throughout the system. Circumstances may allow for AW to accept TBF's right to engage certain factions, but that would be put through AW before being authorized. However, this could allow to a close ally-status and mutual protection. The Battle For Corfu - Krog - 01-23-2007 The Black Fleet is willing to accept the generous offer made by the AW. We would respectfully request the AW grant permission for us to enact 2 rules that would apply only to vessels heading to the corfu base. 1.We would like to charge a modest docking liscence fee of 100 thousand credits for trade ships. The liscense would be valid for 30 days. An updated list of current liscense holders will be maintained by me on the forums. This is more or less a tolekn show of Black Fleet autonomy as this base will be our only home for the time being. If this would be granted, we will agree not to fire on liscence fee dodgers within the boundaries of Omicron Theta. 2. Any warships, other than Asgard warships that aproach corfu base will be subject to Black Fleet authority and depending on their status with The Black Fleet may be asked to leave immediately. Any warship refusing this request leaves itself open to Military action. We do not believe either of these things to be extreme or unreasonable. our goal is not to disrupt a major trade route. As soon as TBF has the money and faction members required to purchase a permant home system we will do so and leave Asgard space. Respectfully submittted: Krog, Lt Commander TBF The Battle For Corfu - TankTarget - 01-23-2007 I must say something about (2) Since HF are close allies to the AW we have free reign of theta and have several battleships stationed there to help them deal with threats and whatnot. I would feel better knowing that our rights as your allies Dab are respected in any agreement with the TBF. |
