well this is a doozy. see i had another hard drive melt, and this time i cant afford to recover all the data, so i had to reinstall freelancer, unfortunately it deleted my multi player account, so i have no characters. and there goes about 100+ hours of my life down the drain.
and about 5 chars with a combined worth of like 100 million credits.
if there is some way i could restore my chars that would be greatly appreciated.
nvm, search is off, as i found the printout of the id, under some records.
tell you what, admins, jjust delete this now

I believe the admins can send to the account ID and you should be able to load it into FAM...I'm no expert though.

They can't send people's IDs out. The server only reads, I believe, the last 4 symbols of the ID. They wouldn't allow a server to get someone's ID, as then servers could hand IDs of one person, to another.

Ionncross reads it but if you check in one of your game data folders usually in my documents in the multiplayer it has each account by its number. Or at least I think...I am not sure.

Doesn't matter if they can or cannot retrieve the code, the admins WON'T do it.
Besides, you should all be smart (like Olsav, here) and print out your ID or write it down or something.

Virus, Where would I find the ID to print out and Save? I wanna try this before something else bad happens, cause I ahve been lucky when it comes to this stuff before, but Im not takking chances.

Well... If you use FAM you could backup the Accounts.dat file found in:
"C:\Program Files\Freelancer Account Manager\Accounts.dat\"
Or, for the Freelancer ID printout... Go the Start Menu "...\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Examine My Account ID\"
