The Blockade Runner - Vo - 02-05-2007 "Beer, Rhineland if you have it..." He said to the Bartender. "All we have is Liberty Ale, friend." He replied. "Hey, your that guy... " The man darted out and the bartender never got a chance to finish his sentence, the man was gone, apparently, he didn't really like Liberty Ale. As simple as that might seem, it was not the case. The man in question, they called him Vo. And why did Vo just do what he did? Well, Vo, did not speak English. Nether did any of his race. Vo's race, are intelligent people. They can learn through physical and mental contact, IE: eye contact. Vo assimilated this knowledge as he walked. Soon, a feeling of sadness filled him. He did, in fact, like Liberty Ale. But, he thought to himself, no reason to keep this on the brain, he had a client waiting for him. Vo turned down an ally, one of the many on planet New York. He began to act strangely, in his hooded cloak. He stopped, took one step to the side, then jumped onto what seemed to be an old abandoned dumpster, sad people use a waste disposal unit as their home, he thought with a grin. He jumped back down, and went up a fire escape ladder, then back down to the ground halfway up the ladder. Just then, he saw his client, turn the corner. Maybe?! It was a tall young woman, long black hair, dressed like himself. She walked up to him and slowly placed her lips on his. No, the next paragraph is not about rape, nor is it about two lovers. Somehow, this lady knew that lip contact, at least on Vo's world, transfers knowledge to someone else. But how did she know? Though that was none of Vo's concern, he couldn't help but wonder. "Thank you," She said. "Now to buisness I'm going....". Vo lifted a hand. You need not speak, he said, however one of his race might "say", considering that mouths are not used to speak, among his culture. Come to my ship, we will depart at once. They walked from the ally, and towards upper NY, where he parked his ship. Vo was grinning, though nobody would have know, his hood shaded all but his bright yellow piercing eyes. Why was he grinning? Well, obviously, this girl doesn't know of his culture, the less the better he supposed, ever since his race was ordered to be killed off by the Liberty and Britonian forces. He was kissed. This made the grin on his face go away. He was subjected to a human practice of affection. It was a bad feeling. They reached his ship. Into the hold. he uttered, And we will take off.. And she did, and they did. Now, Vo was an experianced blockade runner, but live cargo, never. He hadn't much time to think about it, and now that he has, he regrets even meeting her in New York on that fateful day. On top of that, Vo had never transported any human as cargo, and he wansn't sure how to handle that type of cargo. It was, after all, still cargo, so it should go in the cargo hold, being what a cargo hold is for, but Vo couldn't help but think, even a wanted fugitive dosn't deserve an air tight container. Vo picked up the intercom mic. Do you breathe air? he spoke into it. "Uhh yeah!" He got a reply from the cargo hold. Then i have a feeling you should come up to the deck, there is about to be no air in the cargo hold. "Alright, would it hurt you to use decent grammer, if I hadn't been a fugitive myself, I would have not understood a word you just said. It was true, He did speak with a sort of, accent. Yes, I understand, I just recently learned this language, on the other side, if you were not a wanted fugitive, you would be on a luxuary liner, not in the hold of my Corellian Blockade Runner. \\\\\\\\\//////////|||i---------------i ||\\\\\\\\ ///////||||l- - - - - - - - -| ||||\\\\\\ /////||||||- - - - - - - - -| ||||| \\\\ ////|||||||l---------------| (^It says VO by the way^) Later on. "So, tell me about yourself." Said the girl. Vo glanced over at her, a human action, he wasn't sure why he did it, dramatic effect he guessed. Seriously... Vo was unamused. " A shy one, are you? Well, I'll go first!" She seemed ecstatic... It was so confusing. " I am Kell... Well, Kelling-san if you want to get technical, call me Kell. " I am Vo, the Blockade runner, as you know. I am no more than that, He made sure to emphasis the "I am NO MORE than that" part. "Interesting...Your eyes are so big." All the better to see you with... He said, in reference to a old earth child story. "Whaaaat?" Kell replied, throughly confused. Vo didn't see the need to answer, or talk after that. They didn't. They got to the jump to Dublin, sure enough, 2 battleships and 4 cruisers, just a couple gun boats thrown in for good measure. Not to mention the drove of fighters. The comm system button beeped. Vo pressed it. "Welll well welllll, if it isn't Vo" Said the battle ship captain that hailed him. No. Said Vo, sarcastically, another human trait. "Don't you try and fool me! Your poster is all OVER this system." No. He said again. Then he did what he was waiting to do. His eyes lit up, ever so slightly more illuminated than they were, and he said, once again. No.. "No, you are not." Replied the captain, " Move out, and let this man through, he is an old friend of mine, off to see an art gallery!" An ensign replied "But this is the Dublin jump!" "Yes you twat! Now clear out all ships, move aside." The captain said, more forcefully this time. Vo shut off the comm unit, and sat back in his seat. Britonians, he thought, they are SO easy. But there was something that bothered him, his poster, who took a picture of him, he spent most of his time in his ship, and nobody would DARE go in there. The security systems in his ship were not of this galaxy, they could detect the intent to enter his ship, especially by someone who was not permitted. On top of that, if anyone was aloud to go in his ship, all they would need is a 3 digit code that changes every time someone exits or enters the ship. He decided to let it be for now. The jump went off without a bump, and they arrived in dublin, the final destination was the large battleship that loomed in front of them. \\\\\\\\//////////||| |----------------| ||\\\\\\\\ ///////|||| l- - - - - - - - -| ||||\\\\\\ /////||||| |- - - - - - - - -| ||||| \\\\ ////||||||| l---------------| - - - - - Docked on the hood.- - - - - Alright, stay here, I have the ship on lock down, so dont try anything. Said Vo. "Right" Kell responded. And he got out, foolishly. He made his way to the bar, ducking under any shadow he could find. He stoped at a table and sat down. He looked out of the window for a split seccond... all he saw was a green and white rebel blockade runner. HOLY BA'NT He raced back to the dock, and sure enough, no more ship. Dirty son of a... No matter, I am superior therefore I shall endure, I live thereforeI am. And with that reassurance, he went to the comm center, to call his one, only, contact. |
