The history of Augustiner Braeu *outtakes*
[Image: Augustiner1.jpg]
The history of Augustiner-Braeu, Munich's oldest brewery, has begun in 1294 ancient earth time, when the cornerstone of the Augustinian monastery was laid at the Haberfeld next to the Neuhauser Gasse. Documentary proof exists that already in 1328 an excellent beer was brewed within the walls of the freshly completed building. A major fire raged in Munich that year as well and the monastery is known to have been spared, therefore 1328 is considered the foundation date of the Augustiner brewery, thereby being the oldest of all existing breweries resident in Munich.

In the course of history, Augustiner-Braeu survived a privatisation, some wars and many extensions without ever forgetting its philosophy or risking about the quality of its beer. This has made Augustiner-Br?u an important element for Munich's culture and the city's restaurants and beer gardens - mainly the Augustiner Keller and the Hirschgarten - places still representing the cosiness and traditional social life of ancient Munich.

The owner and the head staff of the Augustiner made it to the sleeper ship 'Rheinland' and so the companies know-how and tradition managed to survive the great war. The Augustiner Braeu settled on Planet Stuttgart soon after its colonisation and continued to produce high quality beer with distinction and in its ancient tradition.
With the appropriation of Stuttgart by Synth Foods, the Augustiner Braeu brewery ceased production and soon after ceased to exist.

*unofficial facts*
After the production ceased, Helmut, the son of Elsbeth Brauer who owned the Augustiner brewery, disappeared without a trace, taking all the precious formulas and business secrets with him.
Soon after the foundation of the LWB, the first bottles of the traditional 'Augustiner Braeu M?nchen' were ordered in Stuttgart Biergarten.

*present day*
Until now, the remains of the Augustiner brewery had a very limited capacity due to the lack of space and biospheres, but the current owner Bastian Brauer is eager to expand and increase the production of the golden 'Hopfensaft' as he calls it, and never gets tired to advertise his products to everyone he runs across in rheinland space.
