this is really starting to tick me off - Tenacity - 08-03-2009 are not, at the moment, reasonable... in any way, shape, or form. I manage to solo one out of every three or four missions, i'm actually losing rep by trying to gain it. I fly a Collector, and even the fricken bombers out-turn me. I switch to a gallic HF, and I get spammed with four gunboats at once, and I cant even scratch their goddamn shields. You fly a capship in gallia and you get owned by bomber spam. It's ridiculous. Find a way to tell someone what ships they're going to be going up against, or take the damn bombers and capships out. I'm tired of taking a 100-200k mission and either ending up with six bombers on my ass, or a fleet of gunboats. Whoever designed these missions failed, horribly. this is really starting to tick me off - kindred - 08-03-2009 I solo nine out of ten missions in a vhf, that one mission being gunboats at random. Learn what missions to pick, npc bombers even with snacs are easy to own in a fighter. Alternatively you could take lessons on how to pilot a fighter :D this is really starting to tick me off - Jinx - 08-03-2009 i tested many gallic missions in the closed beta - with a weak zoner GB. - i think my success rate was more than 9/10 - and lost missions mostly due to RL issues like leaving the keyboard in the mid of a mission cause i had to do work in the kitchen or answer the door. and of course there s always the possibility to team up with someone - no one forces one to "solo" missions. this is really starting to tick me off - Shazbot11 - 08-03-2009 You will not want to pick any missions ranked 40 or up. Those tend to have gunboats showing up, if not giant waves of bombers; 39 is borderline in terms of larger vessels showing up. And yes, the missions can be incredibly rough but they are still do-able. Dijon Station has a good number of missions that are lower ranked, and the payoff is usually large enough to still make a profit despite any potential damage sustained (aside from being shot down). this is really starting to tick me off - Shagohad - 08-03-2009 There's no one in Gallia, Jinx. So...you can't be helped... this is really starting to tick me off - Tenacity - 08-03-2009 Quote:and of course there s always the possibility to team up with someone - no one forces one to "solo" missions. I wasnt flying alone today, it was me in a gallic civilian HF with another guy repping up GRN, in a VHF. We got through two waves of fighters, and our "assassination" target shows up in a gunboat with two other gunboats escorting him. There isnt jack that two fighters with no heavy weaponry can do against a gunboat, especially when they're spamming GB razors at you every couple of seconds. this is really starting to tick me off - Dejavu - 08-03-2009 I tried doing a mission in Galia 3 days after 4.85 came out and got bomber spammed. I have never gone there again, if the number of bombers was reduced it would be much better. I might even consider going back to Galia! this is really starting to tick me off - Heartless - 08-03-2009 I agree though, tried some missions in gallia on open sp and they're really hard. this is really starting to tick me off - teschy - 08-03-2009 Pretty much yeah, and you wonder why is Gallia cap spammed nowadays. Unless they figure a way to separate gunboat missions from vhf missions, you'll pretty much need a gunboat/cruiser/battleship friend with you, if you even think of repping a character up there. this is really starting to tick me off - n00bl3t - 08-03-2009 ' Wrote:There's no one in Gallia, Jinx. So...you can't be helped... That is a problem up there, you usually need to get something else in a GB to help you. |
