++Tombship++ - Kadaeux - 08-03-2009 Ok, after posting some WIP concepts for a tombship someone threw out the Idea of a faction of Tombships having a better chance of getting it accepted (or making it a general design that the "religious" aspects of Sirius might use.) Here are some relevant reading threads for the concept for those of you who haven't encountered the Tombship. ++Tombship++ Other Link The Idea and personality is in those threads. But the specifics are you take your chosen vessel (or when I complete it and hopefully get it accepted the proper tombship.) you'd got around requesting pilots off of other players these NPC pilot are your "Corpses" whom you take to a player of the faction (or allies) to return the bodies to their families. Said players would be totally neutral and only engage in combat for self defense. Obviously this wouldn't be a profitable or powerful faction (and i'd assume we all have traders to fund repairs, CMs etc.) preferred ID and IFF would be zoner, (unless I get the new ship approved) the preferred craft would be Zoner Gunboat. So would anyone else other than myself be interested in a faction that would exist solely for its RP potential not politics or anything like that? (The naming of vessels would be obviously "morbid" the ++Tombship++ ++Crypt++ ++Mausoleum++ etc) (EDIT: If you vote Maybe please explain why or ask questions that would explain why you said maybe instead of yes or no.) ++Tombship++ - tansytansey - 08-03-2009 Personally I wouldn't be interested in joining. Trading isn't my thing (Plus I already get my fair share of morbid during the day). But I think the idea is good, relatively similar to the SU and ZAS, but it fits it's own niche that hasn't previously been used. ++Tombship++ - hribek - 08-03-2009 Looks like a fun idea. Those aren't easy to come by for most angry gamers around here... ++Tombship++ - Kadaeux - 08-03-2009 ' Wrote:Looks like a fun idea. Those aren't easy to come by for most angry gamers around here... Thats the beauty, i'm here for the RP, the "pew pew" is very much a secondary concern for me.:D ++Tombship++ - JovialKnight - 08-03-2009 One problem I see is the whole requesting pilots off players. It's hard enough to get them off players as house police, who can actually do something, so as a tombship, with no authority, players who're going to give them are going to be, sadly, rare. ++Tombship++ - Kadaeux - 08-04-2009 ' Wrote:One problem I see is the whole requesting pilots off players. For several days of running the Tombship i've only had one person deny the request. (With good RP reason, they were captives from a mission.) ++Tombship++ - Weedalot - 08-04-2009 i would not join your faction but... I think its a great idea. Good luck with that one. ++Tombship++ - Cellulanus - 08-04-2009 The only issue I see is how do you tell a dead pilot from a live one? ++Tombship++ - Thor22 - 08-04-2009 ' Wrote:The only issue I see is how do you tell a dead pilot from a live one? Kick him and see if he screams. I like your idea, I can see how that would be fun, not my cup of tea sadly, but best of luck! ++Tombship++ - Agmen of Eladesor - 08-04-2009 ' Wrote:The only issue I see is how do you tell a dead pilot from a live one? That's pretty simple - they're all dead when you turn their oxygen off. :P Anyway, it sounds like an interesting premise, so if I run across you, I'll be happy to drop off any odd-balls I have. But being an undertaker - I've sat in on too many RL autopsies and been to one too many crime scenes to try to RP that one. |
