PLANET LEEDS, 817 A.S. - Earlier today, BPA officials announced that a raid on a Buccaneer stronghold by Leeds Civil Protection captured Buccaneer leader "Captain" Henry Morgan. His capture, as well as the elimination of a major Buccaneer stronghold is expected to put a major damper on further Buccaneer operations.

Morgan is the suspected mastermind behind the recent resurgence of the Buccaneer's space-bourne operations, and is wanted by the BPA on multiple counts of theft, fraud, smuggling, piracy, and murder. Due to the security risk imposed by a prisoner of Morgan's stature, he will be transferred to Newgate prison station where he will await trial for his crimes against the people of Bretonia.

We will follow this story as it develops.

NEW LONDON 817 A.S. - Earlier today, the prison liner BPA Botany Bay was officially declared missing by the Bretonia Police Authority. The vessel had been carrying notorious pirate "Captain" Henry Morgan, as well as a number of other members of the Bretonian Buccaneers, to the Newgate Prison Station in the Manchester system.

Initial BPA reports indicate that the ship was likely captured by the Buccaneers during a prisoner uprising, as the bodies of 52 members of the Botany Bay's crew were found dead in space near the ship's last known location. The body of the Captain of the Botany Bay was not found at the scene, so it's likely that he was kept as a prisoner by the Buccaneers.

Although the Botany Bay's whereabouts are presently unknown, the BPA considers it unlikely that the vessel was destroyed, and are engaged in a Bretonia-wide search for the vessel. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
