A business idea - Rowly - 08-08-2009 ok basicaly i had the idea of making a courier service character that will transfer items between other player characters no questions asked. for example lets say you have a Liberty Navy character that is in possesion of a few codename weapons and you want to transfer them to a character in say the Kusari Navy, obviously your Liberty ship cannot just barge through to kusari space without ALOT of paperwork etc. and even then its a bit odd and a pain but with the service i am thinking of you do have the option of smuggleing it there for a fee. so i would like to know what people think i think it brings a bit of RP to smugglers rather than just fly to base A buy contraband A take to base B etc. A business idea - Cellulanus - 08-08-2009 Nothing to stop you from trying, I'd just advise for you to insure your cargo because it its lost... A business idea - Rowly - 08-08-2009 yeah i did think of that but i do seem to remember someone was running somesort of insurance company around here a while back .... A business idea - Beagle23 - 08-08-2009 Its not that I'd need a smuggler because I wouldn't be welcome in those areas, its more like I'd be too lazy to go to them. For that reason, and if your fees were acceptable, I'd probably use a courier quite often if I had a way of contacting him when I needed him. A business idea - Cyberanson - 08-08-2009 Yes, this is not a new idea, but I like it anyways. Seeing some couriers around, which face the danger of being pirated is some nice RP approach. A business idea - Janus - 08-08-2009 I'd use it too, and VHFs/Bombers are a pretty secure way of delivering Codes I believe. Something that occurred to me as well is that you could, for a Code delivery, make some extra cash. Lets say I want a pair of Ragnaroks, at 20mil a pair. We agree on a delivery charge of 2 mil, making my end 22mil. Now, if you can secure those Rags cheaper, you keep the difference. That would be better for a delivery service of small items. Nearly impossible to hit, when used by an experienced pilot. A business idea - reavengitair - 08-08-2009 Nice Idea. I might even try it. I would also perhaps... use your services. However, Leviathan bankers already does this. A business idea - Janus - 08-08-2009 ' Wrote:Try Light Fighters, like the Arrow for example. I was thinking more of the fact that a VHF or Bomber could mount the Codes for security in transit. However, I agree, the Arrow would make an awesome courier ship. A business idea - atlantis2112 - 08-08-2009 What happens if you lose the cargo? Do we get to tar and feather you? I'd be upset if my 4 twilights got snagged.. |
