Technology Use in Sirius - n1kodemus - 08-12-2009

I've been planning to make a Freelancer with a Sabre VHF. (Both Freelancer ID and IFF).
As far as I know having the ship is allowed,
but I also would like to have four Kraken Type 2 guns, one Kraken Type 2 turret and an Inferno.

What I want to know, is, what kind of a bio/story I must make in order to use them?
The "Technology Use in Sirius" draft shows Outcast equipment as white for Freelancers.

Can the story be how my character acquired said weapons and is there any limitation how long it must be?
As I horribly suck at writing stories, especially long ones.

I'm not sure on required length of post, but there's a 2 gun/ship limit on white cell weapons. I believe having the 5 you listed would require a special RP request.

Actually 6, as I forgot to add the Inferno.
I guess I should pay for 25 hours first and post a special RP request then, just in case.

Well you are allowed to use Outcast tech with a Freelancer char just remember you can't really be hostile to Outcast and their allies.

It would be weird for your character for example siding with Corsairs on a issue.

Other than that I'm very confident you can use that setup.

For first I planned this character to be neutral with all NPC factions except the Xenos.
(Excluding Nomads, The Wilde, Phantoms, Colonial Remnant and such).

The purpose of this character would be mostly exploring and peaceful roleplay.
But as I have to have somekind of source of income, I have to escort traders and hunt bounties occasionally.

If complete neutrality is out of question, I have a good background for an Outcast friendly Freelancer.

Why would you be hostile to the Colonial Remnant?
You must be thinking that cause of the reputation bug that made it hostile to everyone at one point, and though it's fixed now, it's still a bit strange.

Now of course, if you use Outcast tech, you will be hostile to it, but otherwise, you're as welcome as any other Freelancer/trader/explorer, etc.

Outcast equipment is white to freelancers, so you can have at maximum 2 outcast weapons on your ship, with a posted forum bio/story/roleplay.

The rest of the weapons must be from a green cell.

Ive always been confused.

Can somebody clarify what the white cell means? Does it mean in order to use that technology you must have a bio written up, no excuses?
