i have been trying to make new systems with freelancer explorer but i can't get it to work. every time i activate the mod i made and launch the game, it turns off when i launch into space! any ideas?

If memory serves, Freelancer explorer is the problem, I hear its quite buggy.

Strange...

Happens to me too sometimes, but thats because I've been doing some weird stuff to the system... keep it simple.

Try reinstalling freelancer/discovery and reinstall freelancer explorer. Reinstalling everything works for me:D

By hand.

Freelancer Explorer is good for giving you a base system, but after that you'll need to fix the errors manually.

go into the .ini files. Its easy.

It takes a lot of work to develop a new system well and it has to be done by hand. FLExplorer helps with some of the general layout. I'm definitely not an expert with this but I'll note attention to detail is critical. Also scan your files with FLScan and FLErrorChecker - they help find many simple errors.

Head to the-starport.net and ask there. Lots of modders hang out there and they have a fair tutorial section.
