Bout bases shooting npc stuff... its getting intense - silverleaf - 09-05-2009 I have no idea why NPc bases and lanes are shooting transports that are supposed to be allied, as well as lots of other wierd NPC shootings going on. Kusari battleship attacking a station... station attacking back... Wierd. Bout bases shooting npc stuff... its getting intense - Sprolf - 09-05-2009 It's probably because your reputations are rather messed up. That's why it usually happens. Bout bases shooting npc stuff... its getting intense - tansytansey - 09-05-2009 Kusari has a messed up rep. That's pretty much it... Some corporations in Kusari treat FA and Hogosha as hostile, while the Navy and Police consider them neutral-friendly. Personally I think Kusari's rep sheet needs a complete make-over. Since when do Famers Alliance and Hogoshan Gunboats sit next to a Naval Forces Battleship and act like the Border Patrol in Kyushu? This happens in many random palces around sirius, its because of inconsistencies in the already-messed-up rep system. An interesting thing that happens to me sometimes, is if im super friendly with the faction base around me, and theres a player that is red to me, that station will actually start firing, and the NPC's will follow. Its very odd. Bout bases shooting npc stuff... its getting intense - Jimothy - 09-05-2009 I'll confirm that New Tokyo, and the two BS patrols nearby, fire on Roppongi. On The.Kernowek, I was undocking from there, and for some reason the whole screen was red... Flip did that hurt... >.< Bout bases shooting npc stuff... its getting intense - Elsdragon - 09-05-2009 It happens Bout bases shooting npc stuff... its getting intense - Cellulanus - 09-05-2009 It's a side effect of FLs rep system, basically NPC behaviour operates along very simple lines, NPC factions are either allied, neutral or hostile. Lets say that faction A is allied to faction B and neutral to C, if A encounters B and C fighting A will automaticaly come to the aid of B, and it also applies to players, this allows NPCs to attack factions that they normaly wouldn't. It is actually quite a clever system and adds a bit of a third dimension to the factions and give additional perks to being allied with certain factions as they will try to help you. That little thing right there is what causes these glitches, to fix it once simply must make all NPCs allied or hostile for each other (not neutral, do that and player will be able to get Military and police NPCs fighting each other), but this brings about a host of other glitches, such as Junkers being scanned by police having contraband, and the BS patrol sitting right next to them not doing a thing, you also loose that nice third dimension. Its very odd.I think it's cause Interspace is friendly with GC. Naval Forces shoot GC outside NT, Interspace shoots back. It's also funny watching the BHG base in Shikoku shooting Samura Trains as they are trying to dock with it xD Bout bases shooting npc stuff... its getting intense - darthbeck - 09-05-2009 ames is a fun case. if you sit there long enough when the server has a low populantion, the zoners wll end up killing any NPCs that show up. and trade lanes will attack ames. Bout bases shooting npc stuff... its getting intense - Elsdragon - 09-05-2009 AH yes ames. Freeport two might also work |
