Hopefully this is as easy as I think it is... but I wont know until you guys tell me, I dont do modding =P

Anyways, as mentioned in this thread, I'm wanting to 'overhaul' the look of the order's capship turrets and weapon effects. The turrets I have some start models for in that thread, but I have no idea how to do weapon effects.

Now, I dont mind the current projectile models used by the order's cap turrets, the problem is the color. They're yellow, and going on this new theme of converting nomad technology, as well as the projectiles currently being used by our fighter guns, I'd like to see the order cap turret projectiles recolored to a blue tint.

I had a conversation with Rouge about this tonight, and the topic of two-tone projectile effects came up - I dont know if the Order projectiles are one color or multi color, but if they're capable of supporting multiple colors, he'd like to see a mix of black and blue in the weapon projectile effects - just like xeno black widows are a mix of black and red.

So, can anyone do this? The weapon effects that need to be changed are:
Order Battleship Primary Turret
Order Battleship Secondary Turret
Order Cruiser Primary Turret
Order Gunboat Turret

if it's as simple as pulling up a texture file and altering the hue/color, then great, that's how I'm assuming it's done since that's how it was done in the only game I've ever modded before (starfleet command 3). If someone here knows how to do this, change the projectiles then post some screens so we can see how it turns out.
