Admin Notice: Players Sanctioned - Dusty Lens - 09-13-2009

[Smokeone] group has been sanctioned owing to a report posted for:

In-game tag seen before the name must match the ID as closely as possible. It is not allowed to have the tag not match ID category. For example, it is prohibited to have 'Police' tag and 'Pirate' ID.

Equipment used must match tag and ID as closely as possible. For example, it is not allowed for Corsairs to use Outcast ships and guns.

All characters using mismatched ID/Ship/Weapon combinations must possess either an Admin granted Terrorist ID or a Special Operative ID.

All reputations should be in accordance with the faction followed, all enemies must be red, at least during the course of a player - player combat

Consequences: I would think, gents, given your time and experience on the server that you would be earnest in following through with your deceleration of hostilities on the Zoners by following suit with the responsibility of managing your reputations, noted as per: http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=45621 and in game interactions of varying degrees of poor form.

Hell, one of you is docked at a freeport and another on Gran Canaria!? Though by Freeport/Canaria I mean in deep space at the location of my choosing. Also, gents I am beaming off of Gran Canaria and the Freeport... Don't try to suicide your way back onto your previous base. I've set up a fun little surprise if you do.

Your reputations have all been adjusted to hostile to the Zoners, their allies and the Corsairs in accordance with your Hessian affiliations.

If this comes up again the repercussions will be harsher.

On a small note to the Zoners, however, there seems to be a proclivity for waging war via the forum in these instances. This sanction was warranted, granted, given that it's something you had no control over that they should have had the maturity to take care of on their own. However. For the other 80% of stuff that we get concerning people attacking Zoners the first place to go isn't the rules forum, it's a weapon's dealer.

The Zoners have -nothing- on the Hessians. They get their goods from elsewhere. You folks are prime targets and 74 is well within their reach. So man up and show them your war face. You guys have a Sparta Station for lord's sake.

You can shoot the Zoners you nitwits.

Just make sure that your NPC reputation matches. The same as any other faction out there. If you were Pirates with GC tags shooting FA and I found you docked on FA bases the repurcussions would be the same.

Or are you trying be obtuse.

Read the final paragraph before you start howling into the baby monitor.

Thanks for the heads up -and- the repfix mate! I hadn't flown it into combat against any zoner yet (blame inactivity), but if corsairs weren't fully hostile (pretty sure they were though) I was still to blame!

Will also be paying closer care to it if any new characters are created.

"Fellas, fellas.. I'm back! But what's this?" shouted Paulie, looking at the table plagued by semi-depressed and semi-drunk men.

"Someone mind telling me what the heck is goin' on?"

One voice reached up from the back of the table, it was Mario Zarottis, the bartender.
"Good to see you again, Paulie. We've got some trouble.."

Paulie lit up a new cigarette and took a seat.
"Trouble, eh? .. Let's deal with it.."

..An hour later, the talks were still going..

"Dusty has to sleep with the fishes!!" Could be heard through the wall of angry voices.

Many had already started loading up their guns when a bright idea lit up inside Paulies head.
"Fellas.. Listen up!" Paulie shouted, and slammed his fist into the table.

"This.. Dusty fella' is clearly, a powerful man.." Paulie paused, and took a blow out of his cigarette. "But I've got an idea.. Listen.."

..A few days later..

"Don Lens, I'm Fat Paulie and on the behalf of the Smokeone Familia, I present to you, this:
