Order LAC Layout/Blueprint - Tenacity - 09-17-2009 So I got one of six decks mostly finished for my carrier, it's very slow going to say the least >.> Anyways, here's deck 2 (deck 1 is the top deck consisting of the bridge tower and observation tower), there are four more decks below this one, and then the first deck above it. I have to link the image, since it's about 3500 pixels wide... At the front is the launch tube / repair bays for the fighters, of course. In the midsection on this deck is the medical bay - it isnt as readily identifiable as I'd like it to be, but im working with limited textures and the colors of the floor and other stuff all just kinda run together. At the rear end is the officer's quarters (Crew quarters will be on decks 5 and 6). The two round dark things ahead of and behind the midsection are elevators that lead up to the bridge/observation deck, and down to the other levels. Whatcha think? EDIT: hopefully this doesnt stretch screens too badly... Order LAC Layout/Blueprint - reavengitair - 09-17-2009 Its not bad - apart from the fact I barely reciognise what ship that is. And... enough beds? Order LAC Layout/Blueprint - Tenacity - 09-17-2009 You dont recognize the ship because that model isnt in the game yet, it's for 4.86 =P And... it's a carrier. Carriers have hundreds, or thousands, of personnel... need lots of beds. Order LAC Layout/Blueprint - Jamez - 09-17-2009 Nice work Ten, y'know all that ship needs now is some Space Marines - that picture reminds me of a Warhammer board game. One more thing - the actual ship is a bit too fuzzy. Order LAC Layout/Blueprint - Cyberanson - 09-17-2009 Compared to the size of existing air craft carriers, this thing is rediculously small. Just compare the size of a bed to the entire ship. The chassis must be increased drastically. But it looks good for a first attempt. Order LAC Layout/Blueprint - Tenacity - 09-17-2009 heh, was already pushing it making it that big =P Really though, not much in freelancer is to scale, and going by my RP posts for the carrier itself made back when 4.85 first launched, the ship runs on roughly 150-200 crew members. I was just reading, that carriers consist of a huge crew (1000+) and that would be impossible with your current size. But meh, stick to the default 'very logical' Freelancer scales and make it like that.:D Order LAC Layout/Blueprint - Calego - 09-17-2009 Interesting Idea... Doesn't look too bad, the beds look a little wide, are they beds or berths? And why only two bathrooms? I'd think there'd need to be alot more than that. Or will there be more on other decks? I presume there will be other launch bays on other levels too? Very cool... I agree somewhat that the scaling is off, but its off for all of Freelancer... Oh well... It would be cool to see things in actual size but i doubt that's possible. Order LAC Layout/Blueprint - ophidian - 09-17-2009 Use cartoonish drawings. Ship plans are either full drawings or full technical drawings in Sci fi worlds etc. May look better. (whispers: Photoshop filters...) |
