A racing thruster, faster than all the other thrusters but solely designed for racing. Make the impulse speed 350 or something to avoid the speed mod cheat detector.
And for you lulwuts out there that should be in the flood. I've got this for you.

Thrusters can be equipped by everyone. What stops, say , a Gunboat from using that same thruster to zoom past a VHF?

Naturally a rule would be put into place. Or perhaps a hook that restricts the racing thruster to Conneticut. Leaving conneticut with the thruster will kick you, or just make you appear in NY without a thruster.

I agree with Alpha on this one, Its a nice idea.
But hardly anybody will use it, and using the regular thrusters works just as well.

I thought Thruster speed depends on the Ship, not only on the Thruster (developers please confirm this)
For example Thruster on a VHF goes to 200, but same one in a GB goes to 130....
If you want to race, then what about having a specific ship for racing....
