Ships Available to Freelancer Pilots - Nostromo - 10-01-2009
What ships are usable by Freelancers?
This seems to be a big question I have encountered so here is a list of ships available I composed for pilots with a Freelancer ID Tag. This list was built according to the The Official Guidelines of Technology Use and "Discovery Faction Status" both posted in the forums. If you see any I missed please add them to the post.

Liberty Gunboat (There is some controversy about this one. According to the technology guidelines it states that ships used by the Liberty Police are available to Freelancers and this is used by the Liberty Police. But the Liberty navy does not agree with this. Use at your own risk since the Liberty Navy blew me up for using one!)

Pick and choose for these. Just stay at 3600 or less cargo and be careful what ships you take into what areas since some groups will attack you for using "Their" ship!

Your right the Bulldog is listed as a SHF, that is what happens when you copy and paste!

The Umibozu isn't really a ship for freelancers. Its a KNF ship.
Other than that, well done!
And the Liberty Gunboat is a Liberty Navy ship. I tend to think that all the official gunboats are all owned by the navy.

The reason I added the Umibozu and the Liberty Gunboat is the fact that they are stated as being used by the local police under the Faction Status post. According to the tech chart Freelancers can use police items. That is the only reason I put them in there

Just for your information any freelancer utilizing a BH vessel or BH weapons, run the risk of getting hunted by BHG| and BHG|Core vessels.
Guildmaster Sam Radford has issued a communique here on the Global Sirius Network, stating that BH technology, in the form of ships and weaponry utilized by characters not having a BH ID, will be reposessed, if necessarily by the use of deadly force.

um, the bulldog is a HF, not a VHF or an SHF. It has no class 10 gun slots, it just has seperated torpedo and CD hardpoints - cannot fire novas or supernovas from the torp hardpoint either.

Liberty Gunboat and Kusari bomber need to go. They are MILITARY ships.

The Liberty Navy Gunboat is Navy tech, which as LPI, we are allowed to use. But because it is Navy tech, not LPI tech, Freelancers can't use them. I'm gonna presume the same thing applies to the Kusari Bomber.
