Right, for a while now, the forums seem to have been miscounting views. Ever since the mods first started deleting threads (probably unrelated, but I'm using it as a landmark), threads started to stop counting views.

New threads will show as having zero views for a while, before suddenly going up to whatever the actual number is. I've just noticed current threads will stay at their current number of views for a long time before updating to however many they actually have.

Sure, this is a minor thing, but it really dents story-writer's egos when they put a new post up and don't notice anyone reading until 24 hours later.:PThis just me, or is everyone getting this?

Yep, me too.
The "NY Lockdown" thread has 23 replies, but apparently no views...

Parodies the fact that no-one reads before posting. (I am not immune.)

Seriously though, I hope it gets back to normal.

Apparently this is related to the forum not updating it's cache as often to save bandwidth or something. It's known about and not really cared about.

As for author's ego, just constaintly refresh and see who's viewing at the bottom of the page.
