Mission 69: Gather compromising evidence on Battlegroup Harmony

Our recent deal^[1] with the Battlegroup Harmony have proven to be a perfect opportunity to further pursue the completion of this mission assignment. The asset I've acquired during the Hogosha deal^[2], namely a Raven's Talon with a disguise of a common pirate has been stashed into Jewel's cargo hold to make sure the deed could not be back-tracked to the Lane Hackers in any way. I have decided to join the convoy as a commander of the Jewel, giving me the ability to collect the exact data of transport vessels, their transponder signals, exact names of the participants and their exact route. As the convoy traversed trough Sigma-13, with it's vicinity to Manoel Outpost and convoy's planned route trough Bremen system, it has shown to be an opportunity I was awaiting for. I have contacted a wing leader and with an excuse of engine malfunction, I have re-routed Jewel to Manoel Outpost, manned the Talon and rushed to Bering using the lanes, overtaking the convoy in the process.

The convoy has been disrupted by Rheinland Military in Hamburg, scattering the transports and forcing them to rush towards Marshall in distress, which made them oblivious of the ordinary pirate vessel they have encountered on their way. The evidence I have managed to collect shows a large Cardamine delivery to Marshall Station by the transports of the Lane Hacker inner circle and Alster Union. Should it be leaked into the public and made sure it reaches the Hellfire Legion, it would be the final nail in the coffin of Hellfire-Harmony relations. The combination of Hellfire's hatred towards Cardamine, Lane Hackers and Unioners, and clear evidence of Battlegroup Harmony's dealings with all three of them will surely deteriorate their currently neutral reputation, cutting all possible chances of Battlegroup Harmony's shift to Hellfire Legion's side.

MISSION 69: Gather compromising evidence on Battlegroup Harmony

Once it was apparent that The Battlegroup Harmony might be conducing negotiations with The Hellfire Legion, I decided that we have to be prepared for the worst case scenario. I have ordered gathering of compromising evidence on The Battlegroup that in the event of their betrayal could be used either to inflict PR damage or to put a wedge between them and The Hellfire Legion. A perfect opportunity arisen when we received intelligence on an independent group of Separatists attacking civilian transports in Texas and Bering system. I have dispatched Associate John Silverstone to investigate.

Provided evidence turned out to clearly prove that the group of Separatist-affiliated pirates working in Bering and Texas were taking orders from the Battlegroup. This evidence could be used to inflict significant PR damage to the Separatists' image. It is, however, unlikely that it would spoil the potential alliance with the Legion. While on the verbal level The Hellfire Legion condemns any kind of piracy, in reality they have made it clear that such principles are only a facade that serves purely political goals when needed.

This report contains information relating to the mission brief above

Whilst in the Colorado/Kepler/Shikoku area I was contacted by vessels claiming to be Outcast on their way back to Malta via Cassini.
Picked them up visually approaching the Colorado/Kepler Jump gate verifying they were transponder friendly and they turned out to be two Outcasr Battle Transports carrying a cargo of slaves.

As I escorted them through Kepler the following was gleaned from their pilots, transcript appended.

Callsign: D.I.E. - Dangerous Immortal Empire
Allegiance: Outcast , we work for the people of Maltese Nation
Fleet Size: Two Battletransports
Intentions: to "supply us with the best Carda ever"

I believe this is the first report of contact between us, vessel details have been entered in the appropriate database and their instructions were to contact us via standard neural net protocols in order for further dialogue.

Mission 31: Obtain Ageira White Boxes.

The beginning of this mission have caught me by surprise, as the vessel wearing Ageira~ colors and a callsign of Innovations have emerged from the California gates in Cortez. After a short discussion the encounter have turned to guns, in combat i have eventually prevailed, forcing that petty milksop to beg for being spared. It was decided, however, to turn that vessel into dust to ensure there will be no disruptions and dirty tricks from this weasel.
As this was concluded and cargo was now floating in space - i have immediately called a Mactan wing Repossessor to retrieve and secure the cargo. As soon as it have arrived and repossessed the cargo - we've set our course to Cochrane Depot, and arrived to the destination without obstacles.
The cargo was unloaded and safely stored stored on Cochrane.

Mission 67: Gather intelligence on Gallic invasion

In the beginning, I was alerted to the presence of a massive number of Gallic vessels. They appeared to be part of an invasion force into Cortez. I have obtained a large amount of guncam footage of the Identifier codes and weapons loadout of a large number of vessels. They have been compiled for analysis.

Mission 40: Intercept and secure Gallic Gate and Lane parts

Today a quite interesting encounter was had with a vessel belonging to EFL Oil & Machinery. He was found on the lanes between Stokes and Planet Leeds. He was found to be transporting a large shipment of Gate and Lane Parts. However, myself and Ms.Willing were forced to destroy the vessel after a fighter from MRG| attempted to interfere. The fighter was dispatched without delay. With the shipment secured, we made our way to Mactan to make the delivery. Audio transcripts have been included for further reference

Phase 1

With the fall of Vereinigte Widerstandsarmee the Bundschuh were disorganized and disoriented. Amidst the chaos Die Weiße Rose sect rose and assumed a leading role within the outlawed movement. This mission was designed for the purpose of gaining sensitive information on the organization through interrogation of their leader and intimidation through sheer brutality.

This is a high-profile Honeytrap technique as described in the Tactical Principles of Transport Interdiction. Any Lane Hacker who is looking into improving their own technique, may read this report.

Honeytrap relies solely on your manipulation skills. Lane Hackers with their unique intelligence levels have a natural inclination but you still need to constantly refine and upgrade this vital skill. When it comes to Honeytrap in particular these are the most important tips I can give:

Have a plan in mind before establishing contact. Do not contact your target unprepared.
Based on that plan rename your LH ship accordingly. Do not use tags which had been or are currently used in Sirius or can be directly attributed to a specific faction.
Quickly gain the attention of your target. If the target is in a hurry or uninterested do not drag your story for too long, but get to the point quickly. However if the target is suspicious then present your story as that will likely lower their defenses.
Based on the conversation quickly discern what your target is looking for. Credits, information, unique items or perhaps just some company? Do not plead. It is far easier to appeal to someone's self-interest than their mercy.
Feign disinterest, never reveal what you truly care about, stroke their ego and pride through compliments or otherwise by telling them they are incapable to fulfill your request, forcing them to double down instead. Do not insist on a specific location for the meeting as that will make them suspicious.

I am attaching the successful Honeytrap attempt on Albert Weis, leader of Die Weiße Rose. I convinced him to a) switch to a transport, b) pick up controversial and unethical cargo, c) meet me in a remote system within our Operational Zone. That was not easy as our Operational Zones are not overlapping with the Bundschuh. And finally, d) my ship's true identity was not revealed, setting the stage for a second Honeytrap attempt. (see Mission 70, Phase 3)
