Bretonian Battlecuiser - Eppy - 05-10-2007 I've officially been taken off of he actual game for several weeks now, So I've got plenty of time on my hands. Therefore, I thought I'd bring to bear on your minds this: Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present to you the Bretonian Battlecruiser concept. It's designed as a lighter, faster battleship (Not a frigate; their's a difference) built for taking on large numbers of smaller craft in asteroids. It carries a mix of cuiser and battleship hardpoints, 12 in all, and a thruster. It's a long, flattened trapezoidal hull with flares, Bretonian engine, wings curved at around 30 degrees, and is textured in the Bretonian style. Questions? Comments? Should I build it? Does anybody want to make it a group project (is lazy)? Please, post. Bretonian Battlecuiser - Lt. Brown - 05-10-2007 Urrmmm... sounds cool, but i don't have any skills in doing ANYTHING involved in making mods or renders.... Bretonian Battlecuiser - supernova - 05-10-2007 Sounds like a cool idea. Bretonia needs another capship because there Destroyer aint that good...:P Bretonian Battlecuiser - Eppy - 05-10-2007 God, did I notice. Yes, this is my attempt to put the destroyer out of service. I've noticed that to effectively escort something one needs three or four destroyers. With this baby we should have something that can do the job of four, requiring only one or two ships a convoy. Not to mention, there's this little war going on right now, so I've built it with as small and streamlined a bow cross-section as I could. Should be able to handle much better in the Taus, and since it can mount BS shields and BS guns if needed, it could be almost as effective a cap-killer as the full BS. Another thought-Texturing. Bretonian ships are horrible this way. I've thought about, as part of Her Majesty's attempt to cut costs I could skip the unpleasantness and just do it in the colors of the Bretonian flag. Think anybody'll notice? |
