Are there any goos Nightwish songs that would go well in a Half-Life AMV? There'll be clips from:
Half-Life 1
Half-Life 2
Half-Life 2 The Episodes
So, with that, any suggestions?

Nightwish is TOO melody driven and up tempo for Half Life like post-apocalypse appearances.

I would suggest you going for Massive Attack kinda stuff.

If you really want to use metal try to pick something less "catchy". Still, I would go for Massive Attack or that kinda stuff. Perhaps Infected Mushroom stuff.

Fallout3 for example, have symphonic classical set but it is "slow" in motion, Nightwish fits more to fast paced open battle scenes with less "apocalypse" or "tech" in it. Songs like Dark Chest of Wonders etc. have cool lines for battles but not fitting to HL.

In my humble opinion.

OH and also depends on the video excerpts you will use.

Over the Hills and Far Away?

Or, if you don't feel compelled to use Nightwish music, what about Emerald Sword by Rhapsody?
