Treaty of Tau - Grumblesaur - 11-03-2009 The poll says it all. Kazinsal and I, with feedback from the community (you), are devising a treaty to define Outcast and IMG space in the Taus, and where the opposing factions may go and what they may do. We're trying to abolish piracy and contraband interdiction, because those are the only reasons the factions oppose each other. I've done quick surveys in IMS and IMG chat and in Outcast General chat - so far, things are looking good for this treaty. So far, it's essentially that everyone can use jump holes, trade lanes, and gates, but they may not enter each other's home systems, mining areas, or go within 10k of their bases. Anything to add? Treaty of Tau - Kazinsal - 11-03-2009 Baffin, the TAZ system, is governed by the TAZ laws, not by the Treaty of Tau. Once you enter Baffin, what you do is on TAZ soil and governed by TAZ law. They dun like you there? That's not governed by the Treaty. Also, Freeports are neutral as always. The No-Fire Zone laws still apply as such, including with IMG-controlled Freeports. Treaty of Tau - Grumblesaur - 11-03-2009 Usage of Territory (This was edited) Disclaimer: This is all a draft for your criticism, we're not putting it all together yet.
Treaty of Tau - darthbeck - 11-03-2009 I think that some members of the IMG have problems with slavery, and cardimine. Not to mention you'd get loads of indy outcasts pirating and killing IMG, which would make the whole treaty fairly pointless. Not to mention that the IMG defense division is already horribly inactive, and this will make it worse. Treaty of Tau - Elsdragon - 11-03-2009 Can I Know why IMG and outcasts keep kicking each others nuts? Sorry about the defense wing thing though. But it's better to make a friend than an enemy, right? And Els, we're trying to NOT kick each other in the nuts. Treaty of Tau - Boss - 11-03-2009 Given that I do both... Voted 2 on both sides. I run Niob through Alpha on a Junker anyways >.> Treaty of Tau - Encheta - 11-03-2009 Unfortunately there is a few more questions we have to ask before a treaty is even considered inRP. Do the outcasts know that we would not shoot them or care about their smuggling if they didn't shoot us? Do they know that we may even be willing to sell our ore to them if they weren't shooting at us? My opinion is no, they don't know. It hasn't even crossed their minds. All lawful groups have shown distaste to cardimine and as such they assume we are the same, even though this may not exactly be the case.. You are trying to change some pretty heavily ingrained and longstanding diplomacy here. I personally haven't touched this matter at all because of that fact. I would like to see some outcome to the IMG/Outcast hostility though - I mean.. how many years will it take for a huge quasi-house to realise?:P Treaty of Tau - Grumblesaur - 11-03-2009 ' Wrote:Unfortunately there is a few more questions we have to ask before a treaty is even considered inRP. I tried addressing this earlier, but it didn't seem to get through to the people I was talking to. This is one of the main goals; to get that point across. So that no one can claim ignorance, ALL of Baffin is a NFZ and No-tax zone and nobody but TAZ or designated people are allowed on Puebo Bonita. Respect our laws, acknowledge any hail an acolyte may send and all will be fine. We don't care what you're carrying either! ....And a "Hail Eris! Queen of Baffin" or something like that will be viewed very favorably. |
