There may also be some maintenance processes running during the downtime.

I am sure the scheduled server restart can be done in just a couple of minutes - But then you can forget every idea of ever having a current backup of the player database, and any idea of a quick restore of the system, in case of corruption of vital files taking place.
So if you would like the responsibility of having instigated such a scenario, feel free to start a poll to remove any form of backup and maintenance tasks from the scheduled server restart.
In that case, just promise me that you won't hold your breath untill your wish comes true - Blue smurf lookalikes ain't really whats needed on Disco.
