I just installed Freelancer for the first time in a few years and wanted to see what the best new mods are out there. Discovery seems to fit that need. Anyways, I installed Freelance, the FLMM, then installed the Discovery mod and activated it with no issues at all. Game runs perfectly fine.

However, when I upgrade to my first new ship in SP, the Patriot, I don't appear to have tractor beams anymore. I have travelled to several planets and stations, to see if anyone sold them (thinking it might be a seperate component to install), but none are available. I can't complete the 'capture Ashcroft' mission early on in the game without a tractor beam on my craft. Is there a place to buy one, or is SP not completely working with this mod, or is it just a flaw with that ship only in the mod?

buy a IDI it replaces the tractor beam for use in multiplayer all ID's haev the tractor so the one you buy doesn't matter

You can buy freelancer id for 500 credits till you get more cash

When you buy a new ship be sure to transfer id to new ship or u lose it and have to buy new.

I made this mistake a couple times till I finally got it into my head(as big as it is)
