very simple question. where do you extract the flhook files in order to make it work?

Freelancer\EXE

You can either run FLHookStart or add flhook.dll to dacomsrv.ini

Example dacomsrv.ini:

also it says in ther eadme that it crashes with flserver 1.0, ive managed to run the 1.1 updater from microsoft but when i look at the 'about' section on flserver, it states version 1.0 so im confused. is there a separate update?

Ignore that. The Readme lies, in this case. Besides the fact that it's running 4.85, not 1.0 >.>

haha .. thanks. one more thing? where can i get faction and base id's to use in flhook? will flstat have those?
