SP Leveling Questions - Gwyon - 05-29-2007 Hi, pretty spiffy mod you've got here. I acquired Freelancer somewhat recently, and after finishing the storyline and exploring for a bit in default Freelancer, I switched to Discovery. I've been playing with it for a while now, and I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever get above level 38. You see, when I started playing Discovery, I used my vanilla-Freelancer pilot file, at level 38 with a Sabre and about a mil and a half in the bank. At first I didn't think much of how long it was taking to level up, since my net worth took a big hit because my Sabre no longer had any trade-in value (the Discovery version of the ship apparently pre-empts the default version, so the ship I was flying technically didn't exist). However, I'm now flying a Chimaera with 2.6 million credits and a net worth of 5.5 million, and I'm still at level 38. The 'next level requirement' field just says 'mission'. Now, this is a problem because the pilot level requirement for flying missions in some of my favorite haunts (Freeport 9, for example) has been raised above 38. Basically what I want to know is whether my pilot file is bugged and I need to start over, or if the level requirements are just that high in Discovery. Any input on this would be appreciated. SP Leveling Questions - Dab - 05-29-2007 You can't pass level 38 in the storyline. You can only pass level 38 in multi-player. But all Discovery ships are available at level 38. SP Leveling Questions - Gwyon - 05-29-2007 Ah, I see. Thanks for the info. I noticed that I could already buy all the cool stuff listed in the readme at 38, I was just interested in the missions. |
